BBT is great, Season 2 was a bit slow to start with but soon got good. One of the few American sitcoms that actually makes me laugh, it completely manages to avoid being generic and cliched.

I love this show, And i find it amazing someone could actually get angry at people enjoying it , That in itself seems a lot sadder than someone having a love for a particular show lol

I personally think that big bang has something about it no other show does, i think its actually very unique and can put across a plot in a way no other show can purely because of the type of charictors they are.
the only thing i think Big bang copys from other shows is it has a set, characters and a hot blond, id say all three are essentials aswell.

I like it, it's not brilliant though. Penny has become sooooo boring, luckily the rest of the characters make up for it.

I don't think it is, its filmed at universal studios IIRC. I remember Summer Glau talking about the episode she was in and they redo scenes to get them just right, don't think they would do that with a live audience. Or it might have been just that episode that wasn't shot with a live audience, as it was shot on a mock train with green screens etc.

Yeah it's just how well this show makes the whole geek and science thing actually funny and understandable in a way. Plus it can relate to quite a lot of people in real life.

They definitely have to redo scenes with an audience there - the actors aren't perfect

I remember seeing a video on youtube of "The IT Crowd" where one of them makes a mistake and they have to redo the scene - the director is heard yelling at the audience "Okay let's retake that scene - and remember guys - you've not seen this scene before!"

Yep, just watch the bloopers all over Youtube. They shot most scenes a variety of ways, sometimes changing stuff on the fly.

Tis an awesome series, yes some episodes are better than others but its still miles better than most the tripe thats produced in America these days
