Depends on if you really want dx11 or not. If you want to move on to dx11, you'd better off selling your GTX280 soon while that still worth something, and move to put toward the cost of upgrading (or sidestepping). After Nvidia and ATI launch their new cards, the GTX280 probably would worth nowhere as much as now.I'm in the same boat.
I've got two gtx 280's in sli and i have the upgrading bug.
Ideally i'd like to sell my 280's and get two 5870's or fermi if they are decent, but i'm still not sure i'll see the performance benefits.
nope keep your 280 its just not worth it and a side step at best.

Thats absolutly disgusting, I don't know which retailer it was but they should have given you a like for like replacement back without question!First card was an xfx gtx 280 xt, died after 11 months use, started artifacting once the temps went above 70c, the replacement gtx 275 (also xfx) lasted for about 4 hours before it started artifacting on desktop and blue screening, tried both cards in my other machine and had the same.
I thought it was them, I will never ever use them for anything, S*** try rejecting a lot of warrantys as well if you read a certain forum, put me right off ever using them again. Was indeed the company beginning with s, im geting another 275 gtx this week, (hopefully tomorrow), probably only keep it for a few weeks though, im considering making the change over to ATI, possibly a pair of 5870's.
Will do,Setter, buy an anti-static wrist band or ground yourself before you install a GPU.![]()
