No outpost as of yet, just POS, where obviously you are safe within its shield.

The POS has only recently gone online.

The POS is supplied weekly/fortnightly but you can get what you want from the rats you kill.

Loads of moons, planets and belts to explore and pillage, in the system, and lots of alliance friends in the area.
 
I was mining in 0.0 few nights ago.

My buddy watching my back fell asleep, so when the rats came i warped out then back. once they lock someone they don't change, so its quite safe to do this.

He was being bombarded by 3 rats but they couldn't break his tank.

They were still there when he woke,,,,,don't know how long cause i had logged.

Convo me in game and Ill ask some officers. I wouldn't hold your breath though, they're normally looking for experienced pilots as far as I know, but I might be able to pull some sort of strings :)

Yeah we just left LFA due to the issues in Provi, and it's not really Atlas fault, its AAA's fault. TBH Atlas are doing a pretty poor job of pushing -7- out of their pocket, and just keep dropping random fleets on the provibloc fleets looking to get lucky kills.

That said my corp is moving to Gentlemans Club, so may be flying alongside you in a fleet in the near future :D

I dont think we've focused on -7-'s pocket really as they are building supercaps in there and us steaming in killing titans meant for other SC entities might create a diplomatic 'incident' ;) (thats what I've read on Kugutsumen anyway). That said, we dropped SBUs in one -7- system last night, so we'll see what they can do about that.

about the hotdrops - with corps like Greenswarm in the alliance (look at thier record of hotdropping drone land freighters with motherships), then we do tend to be pretty good at the old 'mothership/ titan' hotdrop and gank - although Im useless at it as I just get bored waiting in a pos for a cyno to go up - I missed a load of cap kills a couple of days back as I had tabbed out and was reading other sites when the cynos went up :(

If you do join GC, you'll enjoy it - they are a decent alliance and have some good corps with good FCs.

combination of;

1. me not paying attention to TS whilst eve in the background, meaning I didnt immediately know which of the multiple cyno pilots was speaking (I didnt get a broadcast and didnt recognise thier voice); and,

2. by the time i had worked it out, the cynoship had been popped and I was left high and dry.

mainly it was due to 1 above - me getting bored and concentration wandering :P

I've just started to get back into EvE after quite a few years away, last time I played was during the beta period!.
I have a question for you all, can I set it up so that both me and a buddy can warp / jump together to get to a destination?
I tried to organise a bit of a PvE party tonight (to get used to roles, comms and generally helping each other out) but failed miserably because we couldn't get to the location as a fleet.
By the time all of the wrangling and "where are you?" and "oh my, I'm in LowSec!" was sorted out my buddy was nissed as a pewt and I was fed up. :(
AFAIK we both had similar ship speeds so fleet travel shouldn't be too much of an issue if we could just figure out how to travel en masse.

Yep form a fleet with your buddy, you still need to be at the same place to initiate warp etc. but if you are on the same grid when you engage warp (i.e squad leader select warp squad to whatever gate) you should both travel together

Would like to try some PvP but haven't got the ISK to ruin a few ships while learning! Is that Red Versus Blue thing any good?

I've got a couple of chars in RvB atm, whether it's "good" depends on your definition of "good". I quite like it as it's fast, accessible, consensual PvP, and it suits me because I'm lazy. If you're flying fleets it's usually frig based, and they try and balance it a bit, so it's less realistic than true fleet warfare, but more fun imo. If you're flying solo, you're going to be up against experienced soloers, so really need good setups, equipment and skills to cut it.
 
I don't personally like the idea of RvB, it has no real purpose other than to blow stuff up.

In 0.0, in a mega-alliance, you have purpose and true goals. If a fleet is put together it is put together for a reason, yeah sometimes its just to roam into enemy space and get a few kills, but when its to try and attack and defend soverignty and you accomplish that goal you get a real sense of achievement and teamwork :D

It also takes a silly amount of committment and resources. RvB is a great way of learning PvP without sitting in a safe spot for two hours waiting for the word to warp.

yeah, but it doesn't come with all of the bull**** 0.0 alliance politics.

It's just a good bit of fun :)
