It's snowing

Sorry for the crap phone camera picture. Just taken in Aberdeen, didn't even realise snow was forecast until I just looked out my window :p

Got stuck taking the missus home last night. Following a lorry up a hill, he starts rolling backwards, I can't reverse, we both get stuck, the guy behind gets stuck and so we spent the next 2.5 hours there as the snow fell about a ft deep around our wheels.

It was just too painful to get out of the car with the sleet absolutely lashing into your face.

Eventually some snow ploughs shunted the lorry into a straight line and got the road cleared. Then some local guys dug us out, her dad came in a jeep to get her and I turned and went home.

Think I will invest in chains, new tow rope and possibly a mini shovel!

Were you up the Glenshane? Apparently 100 odd cars were stuck up there.

Nope Shanes hill towards Larne. Always am over it and it snows so much up there.

Still got snow socks and a shovel in the boot, although I took the winter tyres off w/e before last. No point putting them back on, not cold enough even with the forecast snow.

Yep sounds like I need to fill up the boot with spares!

You reminded me of my old regional director.

He was harping on about needing winter Tires for the snow and how he had just fitted them to his Merc.

He was the kind that you knew played cricket and probably had a small yacht to drink pimms on.

No one would speak out to this guy, so when he came out with that i couldnt help but say you did not. I bet you toddled off down to Kwik fit didnt you old chap.

He just laughed. Boss wasnt impressed
