diet tips

Problem is people expect to get wash board abs from these type of products which is not what is advertised, they advertise that it will help with toning and it does help no matter how miniscule it is, i wish people would read a little more or actually own the product before the comment about it.

Really ? well its worked for me and given results so im all for it.

prove it please, prove to me that what you are seeing is because of the belt, not because of the diet or anything else that you are doing.....

toning is a word for building muscle and losing fat.
your belt does neither.

its one of those things, you can't see how it could realistically work and it doesn't sound like anything but a scam.

but your muscles do contract, maybe not much, maybe not under any load, but contracting muscles does take energy doesn't it? I can never decide. I don't think its gonna do much, or help particularly. I mean, if you sit at your desk and do tighten your abs all day you will burn more energy than if you sat there and didn't do it. The electrical impulse is "easier" and can be done without any concentration, without the boredom and while focusing more clearly on something else.

I can't imagine it burns no calories. But then exercise burns very little energy, much less than you'd expect at full intensity straining all your main muscle groups, so one group barely strained is going to do even less. will you be straining the muscles hard enough to tear muscle fibre's to encourage new growth, highly unlikely, will it burn some calories, probably. if you're losing weight over the period of a year and have a long way to go will it add up, probably, is it worth it? still probably not.

But its another tool, it can help you feel your doing something, help you feel a diet is working, help you mentally stay on. Maybe having a really bad day, can't get to the gym and you feel down, it gives you something that you can say is helping you. meh.

lol course it has

Actually 'results' is pretty subjective I guess so no one can really argue with the statement that it 'worked' for you - in fact it is a pretty meaningless statement.

Reality is these things are not a replacement for sit ups or similar as the ads would have you believe - they're basically a waste of money and aimed at the lazy/gullible.

Seriously, does that slendertone abs belt really works? I fail to see how something viberates on your belly would give you six packs. (or on your arms, by claiming 10 minute session is like doing 200 push ups.)

No they don't work, unless a muscle is stressed to a high level (so that damage to the myofibrils occurs) hypertrophy won't occur, small contractions caused by slendertone don't do anything.

but getting rid of bread is about more than just losing weight..I felt so healthy and clean when i gave up bread....im gonna do it again soon..

When you say getting rid of bread do you mean just stop eating white bread?

If so, isn't wholemeal always a better choice should you want to eat more healthy.

1 stone per month is achievable, though I don't recommend it. Better to simply get on a good balanced diet that you can maintain almost all of the time except for social occasions rather than a crash 'diet' that always results in too many exclusions of food groups.

Personally I stopped eating all bread...I find it makes me feel constantly bloated..When I stopped, i felt so clean and healthy..It was a huge difference.

Yes, wholemeal is better than white.

Have you a before pic? just interested what 7 stone looks like on a person.

Well done. I know how it can be - the feeling of being overweight and the feeling of success after a long time losing it.

I lost 4 stone a couple of years ago, it took about six months. Went from 14st to 10st, and I've maintained that same weight now for two years. One of the best things I've ever done.

Try to eat 9 small meals a day, Dale Gribble style....

Small meals is a bad idea. Yes, technically it will raise your metabolism and help you but the effect is small, small, small and, in practice, it's harder to control your intake doing it that way and research shows that people who use the technique tend to put the weight back on faster afterwards

My advice: get more exercise.
