***The Official Forza Motorsport 3 Thread***

Wow, I had no idea you could do time trials to earn money and cars! How do you know which ones to enter? Sounds awesome will try some races tonight!

Just had some races online this afternoon and had an absolutely mental few race starts as ever, somehow I managed to survive this! :D

I need your Rabbit paint scheme! :D

Also, currently doing the R3 World Series, with medium AI, no aids apart from ABS, and driving a standard Nissan Dreamcube Fairlady. My nerves have never been quite so shot at as they have in some of those races. A real struggle sometimes, especially when you have a Risi Competizione F430(?) bearing down on you.

Just booted this up for the first time in ages (again) tonight and I'm up past 2am which I haven't been for a long time.

Still not finished the single player, in my last year IIRC. I just went online into one of the new mixed class races (A & E) and had some fun in my Lotus. Not the all out best A Class car as its slow but is great fun to drive and I actually won a few close races with one guy.

I drive with all aids off, clutch manual and AI medium. AI hard just gets too infuriating sometimes when M.Rossi decides you're his new regenerative braking device.

Have a look for the ones with stars next to them, normally there's one a week

I cant believe how little Ive played of this game...
Ive not bothered with online and find the single player offers very little challenge in AI, think thats what has put me off it a bit even though its great fun most of my gaming with this has been in short bursts. Also doesnt help I suppost that Im using a temp cockpit setup at the moment.

Can some list their top 5 handling cars in the game to drive.

If you goto storefront, designs, filter to the vw rabbit (gold) mk1, then arrange by most downloaded, its by far and away the top, also have similar for the MK II.

I know what you mean in the R3 series, M Rossi is a complete cowbag at the best of times! :(

Had this game since launch abd havent touched online die to idiots in forza 2.

Are there any OCUK races? Im not very fast at the game but i am clean.

My GT is stoke1863

R3 is hard as nails...

On the plus side, I've just upgraded a Nissan Skyline from S class and it's a beauty... It actually brakes when you ask it to! Coming from an upgraded Lamborghini Reventon, this is truly incredible.

Come across a lot of idiots just barging me off of the road recently when I go to try and overtake them, sigh.

If you buy a car pack, do you get all the cars in your garage, or do you just get the opportunity to buy them? For season play, I mean. I assume you can use them for online play or multiplayer regardless.

Also, can anyone give me a quick steer on which car packs are worth buying? There's quite a few out there... VIP, Hot Holidays, Jalopnik, this new one...

That's a great pack! Looking forward to it. Insignia VXR for the win!

And vonhelmet, I bought all the packs, I'd say they were all worth it. I think this upcoming one is probably the best though, a better choice of "lower" class cars, much more fun.

Seeing as the non-special edition of this game is now the princely sum of £18 i'm finally considering getting my hands on a copy. Is there anything really important missing from the normal edition that would warrant the extra £7 for the special edition?

The main thing that's been putting me off is that my DFP won't work on the 360 :(

Nope, just a fancy keychain and USB stick. Everything else is now available to purchase from the marketplace anyway, V.I.P membership etc.

Sounds good to me then, thanks. I'll probably put an order in next week, looking forward to finally getting my hands on it.

My only worry is that i'll really want to buy the 360 wheel as playing with a pad is just nowhere near as good.

Even I'm tempted to pick up a wheel! Amazing, considering how little I care for cars and most racing games!
