Its a sad day for me. i have decided to stop playing PC games. After playing games on the PC for 20 ish years, i am only going to play console games from now on.

WHY you ask. :confused:

Well its because of the stupid anti piracy scheme that requires you to have a constant internet connection while playing :mad:

Piracy will always happen, so why annoy the honest game user. I buy all my games from a well known GAME shop on the high street.

Does this annoy anyone else or is it just me?
 
To be honest, it doesn't annoy me at all. I only use my desktop to game, and have an Internet connection pretty much all the time (it's pretty solid). Most of the games I play online, so an Internet connection is necessary anyway. As for other anti piracy schemes, I haven't faced any problem with them either... I have had much more trouble with anti cheat programs (and not because I cheat :p I don't). In my opinion, a lot of people are just overreacting

Tbh.

My internet IS always on.

I do object to the whole anti-piracy BS that is spouted about though. DRM is cracked within hours of it coming out. So exactly what is the point in it?
 
Will you be selling your 4870X2 on the cheap? I wouldn't mind some QuadFire action :p

also xbox ps3 will have anti piracy schemes soon. If theres a ps4 im sure it will allow game makers to add there own anti piracy schemes.

PC Gamers are a Breed apart & if you are not Mentally strong you will fall by the way side like this poor soul.

Console games can be a bit twitchy about online connections can't they? Forza 3 went all protective of it's DLC once, because I wasn't connected to X-Box live. Caused me some hassle.

I don't like the phone home first thing, or the arrival of certain types of DLC. The only thing we can do is not buy the stuff with the really bad types of DRM.

I just don't think it is fair, there are some parts of this contry and world that get very poor if not any internet, and playing games was always an option
 
there is plenty of piracy on the 360 yet they do not require an always on connection.
so ubisoft want to be *****, just dont buy their games. there are so many pc games to play out there that someone like ubisoft won't be missed.
i'd rather play 1 good game on the pc than 5 on the consoles. we pay less money and have a far superior gaming experience with better controls and visuals and with the mods the gaming hours are endless, the consoles simply don't compare.
