Anyone else bored of current FPS games?

How can you say that when SOF2 used the quake engine just slowed down :confused: SOF2 was quick compared to todays standard but i agree not as quick as quake itself although with admin you could speed it up :)

Has anyone seen singularity? its out soon and Raven our the developer...might be worth a look.

I think this is what im missing the teamplay side of things.

I still cant find an FPS that had the gameplay of SOF2, SOF2 i could go on alone and you could own a full server with skill, then in competition it was all about strategy and teamwork.

Maybe i should look for a BF2 clan or see if SOF2 is still going but i always find older games loose the support of PB and then its just full of cheaters.

i dont mean to be rude but clanbase is certainly not at a very high level compared to some leagues. at least in the games ive played competitivly.

No dubbs it isnt now but back then CB was the place to be, seems to have lost its way a bit but back when SOF2 was first out it was home to a lot of National players in SOF2 anyways.

I remember M.A.K they came quite late on i believe i was there when its was Apoc, CK, izi, Voltz, RiZe, Dogs....sod it im installing it now but im guessing its just full of hackers now :(
 
I think MAK played HL1 TDM way before I joined. CK, thats contractkillers? I think a few MAKS have joined them, I was a member for a little bit for cod4, but I got bored of it.
 
Got bored of mw2 after a few days, never even bothered to complete the single player campaign. Mainly play bfbc2 theese days. Recently found my copy of sof2 which i may install again.
 
the problem with most FPS is and always has been MP, its not that its badly done or anything like that, usually the opposite. the problem is always the people who play it, the way they play, exploiting stupid things like the middle of the bridge on america's army, being able to shoot through the wall, meaning you can shoot whoever you want but cannot be shot in return...so many people hopping around like rabbits, and then finally theres how seriously everyone takes it. i play MW2 on xbox live and i can say how much i dislike 90% of the people i get stuck playing with because of there petty nature. all multiplayer is ruined by players...:rolleyes:
 
Similarly there is one big thing that I have noticed especially on XBOX is that when I started to play it, I found that, since I was a the "Noob" everyone seemed to enjoy targeting me to get rid of me.

Only took a few days to get used to teh strupid xbox controls and things started to change... The Pwned was becoming the Pwner and these bunch of babies didnt like the fact that now I was targeting them.

Its made me realise just how immature and idiotic, 99% of these MW2 morons really are
 
Have to say, I haven't enjoyed an FPS in MP since way back in CoD:United Offensive... Ah those good days :) Loved that one! The HQ missions were the best!

I just haven't found one that I can really get into - no-one seems to count on objectives or anything anymore, it's snipe or spam. Ugh.

I got a free copy of Frontlines and tried that; but If you're not in a chopper you might aswell suicide till you find one. Not fun.
 
Well i have started playing SOF2 again and its awesome and managed a 76-2 KD ratio the other night which was nice :)

but with the 360 getting all the attention from the developers im going to order a Xim3 onces its available. Basically its a device that allows you to use keyboard and mouse on the 360......I hate controllers they are so cumbersome compared to a controller for me.

Looks promising check out the bird snipe demonstration to see how accurate ObsIV has managed to get Xim3 to translate the mouse movements now :)
 
There's one fps game that could really get my back into them in a big way .... if it ever comes out: Black Mesa !

The return of my favourite fps of all time, I really hope Deathmatch is as good as the original :p
 
Looks good but its on the source engine which too me just doesn't feel great i never got into CS/CS:S because of the hitboxes compared to the quake 3 engine which was awesome hit detection.
