*** The Official HTC Desire (Bravo) Thread! ***

Well got the call from Vodafone and sorted out a preliminary check.

And I failed the credit check. Just wtf, now I have to sign up to experian and equifax to find out wtf is on my assumed perfect credit.

Sigh

What are these T-mobile deals I've been hearing about?

Their website only has a £35 contract as the only one with free handset. I'm hoping to negotiate a £25/18month deal with O2 when it's available.

Hoping.

So close to getting one - it wont do Bluetooth data but can I access the internet on my laptop using the cable?

I think the Desire can be teathered if this is what you mean?

PDANet in the market, free for the basic version, with only HTTP access, you need the full-phat app for HTTPS and the like. It also requires software on your laptop, so I make a habit of having the installer on my phone memory card all the time :) And yes this one requires USB, but you'll need to carry one with you anyway to charge the thing every 5 minutes :D

Yeah it can!

Go on Fox, step away from the Nokias! Such a massive step up from the N95 ( think you had the N97?) the built quality ain't that bad too :p

Woo really happy!

After requesting my PAC code I had a text saying someone will be ringing me in 48 hours, I explained I was moving to T-Mobile to a superior package and he said I can do that for you.

Deal is 18 months at £25 with 300 minutes, unlimited texts, internet and a free Desire.

Just have to wait now as they are awaiting stock, said it should be despatched on Thursday.

I just called them to leave and the best they could offer me was £36.22 for the handset, £25 a month on a 24 month contract :(

Leave, then you'll get a phone call back, tell them t-mobile offered you 300mins + unlimited texts/net, 18months, free phone at £25 a month and they will put you on hold while they ok it with manager.

That is how i got the deal. It's pretty much the most you can get outta voda for the phone, and i think its a pretty damn good deal :)

ye, it is.

Just trying to setup my Google account to get onto the market.
But I try making a new account, and it just timed out.
Then i went online and made an account.
But when i try to login with an account it still times out :/

I can browse the net fine via wifi, and havent tested the 3g connection yet, but just weird i cant login

Had my Hero since Aug, getting a mates free upgrade and swapping my hero for the Desire. Looks like a smashing phone.

Can anyone tell me what class the SD card is thats bundled? Also, how much branding does tmobile paste on it?
