Ora generic car holder. Can mount it in either landscape or portrait mode.
 
Insurance

Quick thanks to Jacob..went for the insure and go ins. also.. had dreamt my screen had been broken last night and woke up thinking it still was !!! Peace of mind now..cheers.
 
The issue of facebook pictures not refreshing within the 'people app' I think i have resolved.

I just went through the startup process of the phone again, logged out of facebook then logged back in again. It seemed to refresh all the photos. Not ideal, but i got there in the end.

Syncing facebook info with contacts seems to be hit or a miss with many of the updates being days out of date. Something HTC really need to work on.

Yes you are paranoid...my phone is the same..i think its just the way its built. And yes pressing the top button doesnt result in a noise...well not on mine and mines from Tmobile...saying that it would have been nice to have the little click noise when turning off the screen or when unlocking it.

Seriously go out and enjoy the freakin thing instead of getting paranoid over every small little thing:p.

Hate to say it but in all honesty HTC and Google need to really work on a few areas if they are to compete properly with Apple...too many little bugs that dont seem to get ironed out...dont know whether to blame HTC or google...still a nice phone but not so sure if im going to keep mine...i might end up selling it as im using my BB9700 a lot more and on that line i havent got unlimited texts...ill wait to see if the Desire can be rooted as i havent heard anything about it being available.
 
Well Vodafone told me yesterday that SOME stock is arriving today due to flights being restored etc and that I SHOULD get a call when they arrive to confirm delivery (I chose Saturday delivery).

We shall see.....

When did you preorder? I may give them a call to rant.
 
I pre-ordered last Friday, I was told they were expecting them on Monday late (delivery for Tuesday to me) but delayed due to the flights issues.
 
If it makes you guys feel better Vodafone still haven't called me back after 3 emails :( At this rate they'll be stocking the Nexus before I get a Desire :( :(
 
I ordered mine on Friday 16th too, in the morning, haven't had any updates from them since they emailed me saying it was delayed on the 19th saying to expect it before the end of the week. Was direct through the website and not the twitter stuff as I wanted the £150 quidco :)

Talking to Voda, I'm not going to be getting it this week, but they have refunded my half this months contract cost at least.

This is getting a bit ridiculous.

Indeed, I only put the back and the bottom section of the front on.

The one for the screen i just couldnt get to sit perfectly on the screen and it also had some imperfections on the actual plastic itself.

I'll leave the back and bottom one on in the mean time untill i can find a suitable replacement
 
Phone arrived this morning, still waiting for the sim to be activated, not as impressed as I should be so far.

1) Flash "lite" is crap, android needs a proper flash plugin
2) Needed to use a static IP to stay connected to the my Homehub (apparently a known issue with N routers)
3) Even with GPS on, Google maps thinks I'm standing in sea a few miles away.
4) Where's my voice search?

1 - Not the phones fault. Flash 10.1 is coming. Personally I turned Flash rendering off in the browser... don't see the point.

2 - Known issue with phone or router...? Either way hardly a deal breaker.

3 - Are you outdoors whilst doing this? My GPS works as expected to about 4-5 meter accuracy. If you are outside and it is still miles out then it looks like it could be a fault.
