But I do get that a lot....

My previous name was also always mis-pronounced as scott not stott...

Gyte is of Viking ancestory I have found out so don't call me Git or I'll rape and pillage ya village!! :D

By the way, it's pronounced GuyT (if that makes any sense lol!!).
 
What a slap in the face this must be for your family.
You have an unusual surname, not a bad surname. Kyle Diplock doesn't sound bad to me at all - are you being bullied over it by someone?
 
My surname is Tickle on my birth certificate. My Dad got ripped at school and didnt want me to have to go through the same thing so took my Mums surname when they got married.

My Grandad thought it was a great idea and did the same with his name. :)

Oh yeh and diplock is fine mate!

Not bullied over it now no but it was a standing joke at school ever since a TEACHER called me dipstick in front of the class...

Yeah teacher's always called me Sinister (my surname is Simister), teachers are worse than kids if you ask me.
They stopped doing it when my dad came up to school and had a word with one of them :D
