*** The Official HTC Desire (Bravo) Thread! ***

LOL teaboy yours is fine...seriously look at khaans and leoncc's and you will see that theres are much more worse than yours.

Leoncc id take your back and get it replaced in all honesty...thats far too much pink.

lol i know, i am currently driving fox over the edge on ts.

I am a little colour blind you see, so just want to make sure.

teaboy mine looks similiar to the 2nd picture when the brightness is turned to 0, as mentioned I was thinking about exchanging it but decided to keep it.

now that there's a windows only route to rooting(pun intended :) ) I tempted to do it, but don't want to risk bricking it as I bought it from orange payg from cpw for £399.99 and didn't buy the cpw insurance(going to put it on my parent's barclays bank account mobile insurance. been meaning to call up to get it done over the last couple of weeks).

Does anyone know if the Nexus One has this problem or is it down to HTCs fault?

The pinking? Its a bad batch of displays that also affects AT&T band Nexus handsets. Seemingly the UK/T-Mob USA band handsets have avoided it, but that's possibly because there's a big stock-pile

Just a quick questions is 500mb a decent amount for browsing the web etc a month?

Should be plenty providing you don't cain radio over 3g like I used to, I've been on WiFi constantly since I've had the phone today, works perfect with static ip setup etc!

Yeah it's reasonable, get NetSentry so you can check your usage.

I've turned off signatures and avatars on forums I browse and avoid heavy picture websites, go easy with YouTube as well, other than that you'll be fine, I use WiFi whenever possible too obviously.

Also I've been into a gig a couple of times with Vodafone a few months ago and never been charged as its FUP.

So i'm right in thinking if i use WiFi it won't be using my allowance correct?

Going to ring o2 this weekend and get my Pac code to move to orange from car phone warehouse

Correct, good shout on NetSentry as you can set a limit over 2G/3G just in case.

My screen is quite pink on the lowest brightness :( was too dark for me anyway. absolutely fine just above the lowest brightness. Will be hard to get a replacement quickly.

First post from my phone btw.:)

My exchange pickup coming 5th may, upto 28 days to exchange!

Why didn't I take the opportunity to dump Vodafone?

They refuse to give any information about when I might get my phone, my contract has now started so I cant even go and upgrade somewhere else and any posts about stock on the eForum are locked with a threat that if you keep 'duplicating' threads you'll get banned!

Finally got vodafone to give me a Desire, after 6 days of ball ache. Free phone £20 a month, with 300 mins, unlimited text "unlimited net". This is a second contract phone with voda, and 300 mins talk is plenty for me. Roll on 5th May (voda stocks were 800 odd at 9am this morning)
