Oh my this is snowballing lol, i dont want to be running 3 fully loaded rigs so am waiting to start on the 480 arrangement untill i have my rac well up and i can sell my 285's unless the lottery turns up trumps i wont be any earlier than July/august.
Do you think there is a real chance of 2nd gen before October i was thinking January next year.
Either way it looks like good times ahead for the team output. "Motley" indeed :rolleyes: ahhhh your going for the asus 4 way sli surely not 4 480's though?

As you have swapped over to the Opt App's - you no doubtedly have a lot of new work units - thus your daily output will go up - however your RAC will drop because all your new work units will be 'Pending Credit' until they are confirmed.

Yeah thats what i meant. Well i think 255k+ of pending credit is a fair bit anyway ;) I still blame you for letting TBag pass me on daily credit :p

Still, I should imagine it will come down a bit, since no new work units are dropping through and wee rig has rund dry.

Out of interest have you tried leaving reschedule running recently with the 0.35 app?
I've had mine running since the 29th and it hasn't crashed boinc yet. Looks like they may have fixed it. At least i don't need to check in regularly and run it anymore :). May be worth giving it a go.

left it running this morning when I left for work - if the machine is still crunching when I get in, then that will be a first, lets hope they have fixed it

It isn't folding and is my backup project too, at least it is a similar project, though I wish I had 1 ati card as the credit is amazing...


As for this snowballing, its an avalanche at the moment, I sold my GX2 over the weekend and managed to get a GTX295 on the bay for a very reasonable 220 :eek: Talk about getting caught up in this madness! I dont think it will arrive in time to hold off Grimgoth, but Im hoping to make life difficult for everyone else, and finally stomp GrandmasterD who if I remember is dougiebabe2003 and used to hang around here..
Still can't believe I bought a 295 :eek::D:eek:

Wish you would have given a heads up on here regards the 9800GX2, after one myself, very jealous of your 295 mate, what a bargain that was :)

There is one on the bay now going for even cheaper if you dont mind it being over in Canada, free delivery tho :eek:
If I had seen that I coulod have saved even more.

Am not sure there is anything else i can do at present to survive the onslaught, i would like to maintain my own personal goal of top 5 and staying there for rac but somehow i have the feeling someones going to pull a masterstroke and leave me sucking my thumb!
Either way its all good for the team and am chuffed to bits to be helping.
Am going to hang up my babysitting hat today and leave the machines to their own devices, have neglected work of late but will check in on their progress occassionaly.
Big pat on the team back all :D:D:D
 
Last time I bought something from the States I got stung by Customs, I wont be doing that

again as it ended up more expensive than what I could have picked it up for here :(

It's a nice aim to have, hope you get there, though I think your leccy bill will play a bigger part in your quest than other people.
Perhaps we should start a thread for all those who have built gpu crunching rigs with photo's of them opening the electric bill :D

Most private sellers are Ok with this, you might just have been unlucky as I have only had to pay import duties once, and I have bought loads from abroad. Maybe luck of the draw??
