What is the app on the right screenshot?

Cheers

I've been playing all day long and not found it, time for more digging.

Hey guys,

The app on the left is not an app at all :p

It can be accessed via Menu > Settings > About Phone > Battery > Battery Use

Alternatively I have simplified the process for myself to get there by creating a home screen shortcut via Menu > Add To Home > Shortcut > Settings > Battery Use.

Every time you unplug your phone the Battery Use screen clears and starts off with a new timer, it shows you the battery use for that session since it's been unplugged - very nice way of seeing daily usage habits and what uses the battery most day to day.

I just called them - had a chat with a guy who said they now have total stock of the Desire, and more than enough to clear all backorders and have free stock.

Thats good Fox lets hope the end of the shambles in in sight.

Looking at T-Mobile, deals aren't too bad. £35 a month for 18 months, and £60 for the phone upfront I'm looking at, that has 900 minutes, internet and I think unlimited texts with a booster or something.

How do you get those turn off switches for Wi-Fi, etc, like you have? They look pretty cool :)

Those are also a part of HTC Sense's settings widgets :)

It's one of the reasons I have not rooted yet as I'd miss SenseUI if I installed another rom!

hahahah, found the battery use thingy, no suprise to me at all to be honest, 23% by the bouncing boobies live screensaver :o

They are widgets under settings mate.

Meh, Khaaans on it like a tramp on chips! <3

Fair enough, I missed the unrooting, my bad, will edit my post

The Cyanogen mod is somewhere on Modaco, that's why I included it :)

I must admit to not having one to play with, so I can't verify everything personally as I'd like to :( I was just going off what I read on that post and others about rooting and having rooted other Android phones before

What's wrong with your phone? Pinking? Did you see the XDA explanation. Interesting read :)

No pink tint issues for me (well, apart from a few grays look a bit pink such as the boxes on the HTC site), not like some of the photos on here of the phone displaying the screen brightness.

Rason for me returning the device is home and menu hardware buttons randomly stop working every now and then, leaving me stuck in the web browser. I've reset the device and everything and it continues to do it now and then.

I lived with it at first, but it's been happening more frequently and I think a £400 phone should work perfectly (I didn't pay £400, I had some store credit set against it but the value of the phone is £400 still).

Also the FM radio doesn't work and I've tried it outside and everything. I'm not too fussed about the radio but mentioned it anyway.

Unfortunately the store manager who authorises phone exchanges wasn't in today, I'm out of the office tomorrow so will have to wait until Thursday.

I know my luck though, the phone will act perfectly fine for the next couple of days and I'll be in two minds!

griffo thanks for the vote of confidence(not) ;)

I've been reading several threads on modaco all related to the desire rooting so kind of got the rooting and the cm rom flash mixed up(bad memry so couldn't remember if it was the rooting or the custom rom that got rid of the sense), not sure if you missed my edit but didn't have it in when you quoted me.

as I've said several times already, think I'll wait it out for now. plus I'm not wanting to risk ending up with a £400 brick, do you think if I was to claim on the barclays mobile phone insurance if I happened to brick it that they'd notice? ;)

Mekrel once you get your new one(and plan on rooting it), try the windows only method to see if it works fine(and how it comapares to the linux rout). did you get app2sd working? I read people were having trouble getting it to work(in some cass bricking their desire).

I didn't try to get APS2SD working, due to the amount of bad reports I was reading.

Unfortunately though, Modaco seems to be attracting some rather stupid people at the moment who shouldn't really be anywhere near a computer, let alone rooting their £400 device.

I'm sure it's fine (APS2SD), theres two versions floating around and the people who have written then guides are obviously a bit more clued up and have successfully flashed the APS2SD ROM.

So part of me thinks, I'm happy to do it as I can read a guide easily. Another part of me thinks theres might be an issue with the ROM.

Starting to get a bit angry now. Someone just posted on the voda forum saying he ordered on 25th April which was 2 days after myself and his has been dispatched yet im still left waiting.

I wouldn't be paying anything for the phone on that level, I got the phone for £25 on a lower monthly cost!
