Yes, it will, fantastic! Heaven forbid that the porportion of the vote is directly represented in the amount of seats that you recieve in Parliment. /sarcasm

MP's might have to actually make deals and work together to get stuff done, rather than having their super-blob party push things through.

But you applied it purely in context to the "one eyed" guy in your earlier post. Mentioned nothing about the idea itself, but just as a measure to get rid of Brown.

But now your post is much more constructive to what was being said.

Basically 'We want to work with you, if you abandon half your key principles and we make hardly any compromise'

If the Lib Dems take this offer it will make mugs of their voters and destroy their long term support surely :(

lol after all the OcUK Lib/Con bickering, we are going to have a Lib/Con coalition...

That's politics for you.

While my preference would be a Conservative government I think I Con/Lib pact could work, sort out the economy and repeal a lot of the more draconian labour laws. Through in some more free market public sector reform and some political reform. A referendum for the Scots on Independance. Then end the coalition with a referendum on a move to PR followed by an election using the system the public have chosen.

I like it how all the Tories are saying a Con/Lib coalition would be good - LOL

It is your only option, a minority Government would last 5 minutes.

I think Tories are desperate after being shut out for soo many years.

They would take a Lab coalition if needs must.

From Cameron; No option for PR, but better boundary editing for fairer representation

That's their opening position, as he said all these things can be discussed. A referendum with the Tories campaigning for a different system to the LibDems wouldn't be contrary to a coalition.

It will be interesting to see Cleggs position on PR
