Forgive me if I'm wrong, but you are essentially voting for who gives you the biggest concessions right there and then? What about the wider consequences of those give-aways, or what everyone else has to deal with?

Labour's core voters are the benefit scroungers, so concessions are all most care about.

If the Lib Dems do go in with the Tory's none of their policies will ever see the light of day. It will be a complete mistake, a lot of the Liberal voters did so because they didn't want a Conservative government.

It will give Lib Dems some experience of government and thus some actual credibility. If they manage to make it work with the Tories for 4 years they could well replace Labour as the major other party as they will ahve shown to the electorate that they can work together with the other party and are fit to lead the country

All this Tom working with Dick will never work.
Major Dick in Number 10 should call another major election as soon as possible instead of chewing his finger nails to the bone and watching us all fall into a deeper hole that will take even longer to get out of.

Gordon doesnt have that power anymore.
He has to wait until the other parties have decided what to do.

One thing is for sure, Browns political career is finished, the knives will be out for him in a way not seen since Julius Caesar got knobbled.

Oh my goodness yes, I hadn't considered this! :D :D

YES, PLEASE DO A CON-LIB AGREEMENT!!

Just to **** off all those Facebook'ers :D :D

Honestly, it will be freggin' priceless. All those morons that have been spouting anti-tory nonsense, going round telling all their facebook buddies to vote lib-dem and they end up working with the tories. This includes the resident No.1 tory fan our very own crackhausen :D

I am one Lib Dem voter who is hoping for a Con-Lib government, getting rid of Labour was my main desire, Lid Dem policies were preferable to Con but not so much that I wouldn't be happy with a Conservative government.

Half my friends and aquiantances on Facebook have been going on and on and on and on about how unfair it was that the Lib Dems have done so badly, blaming this that and the other for their loss. It's really quite amusing to see all the bounce go from their bungees, the wind from their sails and their bonfires urinated on.

I would actually welcome a Lib-Con pact and think that David Cameron must pull out all the stops to make it work, as I believe it will be his only real chance of governing, but at the same time, must not agree to any of the "silly" policies of the libdems, such as the immigration amnesty and their senseless anti-nuclear policies.

A non-LibDem voter.

What about the Lib Dem voters that didn't want a Labour government, do their views not count? Probably because they don't agree with yours? :D

Brown's political career was over the day he took over from B'liar.
The knives have been out for him for ages!!
Rumblings have gone on in £abour from day one of him taking the PM role.
If he was a decent bloke like he bleats on and on about then he should accept defeat and throw in the towel and let the Tories have a go.
He should have thrown in the towel ages ago and let a new leader take control of the £abour steering wheel. The one he kept trying to grab whilst B'liar was steering the party.
All the wheels have fell off for £abour now!!

well I voted conservative in the early 90's because as a serving soldier they were for the forces. I now vote labour because as a working class citizen they are for the workers and families. so most arent dim, you are for thinking as such!
Oh dear, what in the last decade, brings you to the conclusion that Labour are pro-workforce? They are pro-unions because that is where a large chunk of their funds come from, they couldn't give a toss about workers....if they did they wouldn't reward the long term unemployed some handsomly for their lack of effort.

At the end of the day though, the Lib Dems lost by a country mile and so rightfully, they should not expect to get any 'special power' or strong influence in any decisions, just because they are the 'king-makers'.

They lost. And while David Cameron does require their support (similarly does Gordon Brown), neither Conservative nor Labour should be expected to bend over backwards to 'suit' Nick Clegg, who ultimately, got a good kicking in the General Election.

This is the only thing that grates with me a bit, the party that got the least votes, has got all the decision making power.

If we put Cameo Boy, Cleggie and Brownie in a room to fist fight it to the death between themselves......
Who do you reckon would walk out of the room?

100% with you on that mate, why I voted Lib dem. Happy with a Tory/LD government but I wouldn't like it if it were a labour/LD one. I don't like first past the post but the Tories got the most votes by a fair whack over Labour so if there's a pact of any kind it should be with them - if they can agree on a few concessions to the LDs.

Best thing to come out of this election is the BNP losing tons of seats they had in local councils as well as failing to win a single seat. Don't let the door hit your backsides on the way out folks.
