Still no easy way to do a screen shot from non root phone?

Is there any way to get rid of the lack of space symbol from the status bar?

I Cant find the setting to only show a certain contact group in the settings?

I wish swype number layout want a num pass style and just a row of letters with a smiley key instead of the swype key

Also wish I could just king press on a file and it would bluetooth over

Another thing, why oh why when you have a contact linked to fb can you not have a button for go to fb page.... You have pics, messages etc, meh

Download the Android Developer program to your PC allows you to do it

Doubt it. If hitting Clear doesnt do it then nope

People > Menu > View > Tick the ones you want.

If you mean hiding them when you hit PHONE or add ppl in MESSAGES then no, there is no way to hide them yet.

I just press and hold the file then choose SHARE and choose bluetooth... Is this not possible for you ?? Tell us exactly what it is you are doing/trying to send

Dont know as dont have FB but I see in the PEOPLE section, if you go into a contact, you go to "updates" (2 arrows in a circle design) and it shows you updates there. Be silly if they dont have a direct link to allow you to go to FB page.

I'd read that it was being worked on, but no plans to include it in Froyo. Have you got a link where it states it is going to be included in Froyo please?
 
right is rooting the phone relatively easy then? If i cant install stuff on my msd might aswell look at something else, also will Android 2.2 be a free upgrade?

Yes Android will be a free upgrade. Just takes time for the networks to get round to assessing it and in some cases adding branding (Orange for example).

As for rooting the Desire it has got easier as Paul @ Modaco keeps working on the process. However it does invalidate your warranty (from what I've read) and once done you will no longer get the 'over the air' upgrades of Android mentioned above.

This comes from the Google Dev thats responsible for this issue. The status has been "Future Release" for a while now.

This comment from the developer working on this doesn't bode well for Froyo:

"The feature is integrated into the platform, and cannot be installed as an application since it needs a new kernel, and updated framework components."

That is a lot of work.
 
just thought id let you guys know how im getting on with my desire, it arrived yesterday as scheduled (its brown btw not black as vodafone mentioned so clearly a mistake/description error), first impressions were that it was difficult to do even simple things such as make a call or a text.

But lots of playing and things are getting much easier, just trying to make decent use now of all the home screens, i have installed some of the apps from the android app thread which have helped a lot.
I have synced the contacts i actually want in my addy book with FB, though i cannot seem to be able to go to a friends fb page through my "people" address book, has an error and has to force close

But yeh, just trying to find a nice layout for everything now, and keep adding more and more useful apps as i go

well once i had my contacts added and all sorted, if you open up "people" you can choose a contact to open, when it opens, along the bottom are some icons, select the "sync" one, it gives an option to link the contact to a fb account, its the long slow way but the only way i found not to leave me with lots of unwanted people in my addy book
 
Got mine today, phones great but going to stick with my old phone... whats the going rate for these phones now?
 
someone post a youtube video link of someone downloaded and installed something on desire to change the look of all program layout, what was it?
