The way things are going it seems as if the only likely outcome is a new election in six months time. If this is the sort of unprincipled, sneaky dealing we can expect with proportional representation, then I'd prefer to stay with first past the post. I thought Nick Clegg had principles - seems a lot of us were wrong and he has blown his political future as far the British public is concerned

There is a growing resentment of Nick Clegg, if he doesn't hurry up he might damage his party

Another nice one:

Simon Thornton writes: Having become sceptical about the nature of our current crop of politicians, the statements and actions of the Lib Dems and Conservatives on Friday and over the weekend was a breath of fresh air - should have known it wouldn't last! Is the new Lib Dem Party slogan "Ask not what your party can do for our country, ask what the country can do for your party"

(sorry)

i agree

Hearing that David Milliband pushed the LD too hard and they ran off back to the Cons

(next time he should bring the lube)

You mean you haven't educated her as to why it's not Clegg's fault? I am surprised
Trying to change my mum's mind about political issues:

She's Tory by nature - hard working, principled etc. :p

It's not his fault? As party leader he commands the respect of his party, and as such should be able to hard sell them the idea of joining the Tories.
If he can't then he's either a weak leader, or he wants "more".

In Breaking news, Fulham and Everton have been awarded the Premiership title this year because their combined points total was greater than Chelsea's.

Morgan Stanley has told its traders to short-sell the GBP aiming for a 10% yield. No other major investment bank is doing this, a lot doing the opposite.

Morgan Stanley also pays Tony Blair £1m a year for political and strategic advice. Blair's former chief of staff is also on the MS investment advisory payroll.

Do they know something we don't?
