There would be no point in voting Lib Dem if their only purpose was to get another party's manifesto implemented.
Isn't that a bit obvious?
Pursuaded by a "save the planet" lib-dem sort though.
well that's what they've done, the lib dems are finnished.
It's nonsense though. The tax on fuel just goes to the Exchequer. Surely they cannot expect us to believe it will be spent 'saving the planet'?

It's a behaviour altering tax, through high fuel taxation the aim would be to force more and more people out of their cars. The tories had a very nice fuel stabiliser plan which would make for a much fairer system of taxation... I should imagine it's probably gone now though![]()

That doesn't seem to be what the reporters are saying tho? They've all been saying how a lot of tory MPs are actually upset about making too much concessions?
How does that reflect badly on Clegg? Would seem to indicate he's done quite well in the negotiations?
Or are we all being led a merry dance by the media? Do you have inside sources to indicate that the Lib Dems are going to push through a largely un-altered Conservative manifesto?
In theory it might be, but the reality is different isn't it?
lot's of his votes were to keep the tories out, by by lib dem.

Well not really, it just crushes the haulage industry and criples the economy resulting in higher prices for quite literally everything which needs to be put on a lorry to get to the shop. But don't let a little thing like the economy get in the way of all this carbon bs.
What about the Lib dem voters who voted Lib Dem to keep Labour out? Do their views not count because they don't agree with yours?
By all accounts the party is split three ways, those that don't like Labour, those that don't like Conservatives and those that don't like either.
Lets hope we've not lost Trident in the creation of this coalition.
