Hypothetical question, will this coalition last for a full term or will they call another election in say a year or so time?
Surely if this doesnt work it will affect both Tory and Lib dem voters in another election and possibly either bring labour back into power or mean yet another coalition Goverment.

Yep, that was the last time Labour bankrupted the country. We had to go cap in hand to the IMF then like Greece have now.
Three cheers for the financial messes Labour leave for another party to clear up. :(
I just wish we had a Thatcher figure to raise this country up off it's knees again. It wasn't pretty, it wasn't popular at the time, but it worked and even Labour were living off that legacy once they came into power years after her political demise.
Please bear in mind that I come from the industrial North that was affected most by Thatchers policies but I still belive it was the bad tasting medicine that saved the whole country from the coma it was languishing in due to Labours usual financial incompetence.

Perhaps more people should remind themselves of this!

would have preferred (main jobs only):

Prime Minister: David Cameron
Deputy Prime Minister: Nick Clegg
Chancellor of the Exchequer: Vince Cable
Foreign Secretary: William Hague
Home Secretary: Chris Hume

Probably too generous considering the small number of Liberal MP's though.

Exactly the same since you are an equal drain - thus making the system FAIR. If the council are unable to raise the funds needed to fund local services then they need to cut the services they offer - until they can afford to provide them.

FLAT tax rates are the MOST fair system, as you pay the same percentage.

Councils in deprived areas need help not cuts.

Can't be bothered have a read on wiki

I do agree with you but the cost must be done centrally not at local government level.
