There are people on Facebook and Twitter complaining that the BBC shown Cameron and they didn't put Eastenders on!

Not that I watch that rubbish but considering the array of news channels people have these days, its hardly something to disrupt normal programming with.

Well, I'll give it about 2 months before people start hating him and creating a "cool to hate" bandwagon just like they did with Brown and Blair before him

Public service broadcaster, interrupting cheaply made soap tripe with one of the most important things to happen in our country for a generation? Yeah, they shouldn't bother.

Y

The country needs REAL industry, not a propped up economy on public sector spending funded by selling the country piece by piece to China. The sooner we at least attempt to get some real business back in the UK the better.

yea and doing things like taking caps off uni fees and education is the way to go about this...

i hope your happy when our future doctors/engineers/scientists/entrepreneurs are the richer people rather than the brightest people

This is where people who hate toffs, manage to completely lose their argument.

Said person who can afford to waste money on a Porche, will also pay, on a lets say £150k porche, £30k tax......... thats more than the tax contribution of about 4 "average uk workers". On that car alone, they will also pay more tax on the bigger house they buy, and more council tax, and more tax on the more expensive clothes they buy, and more tax on the extra fuel the Porche takes to run, and by buying a Porche, helps keep the people who work for Porche in jobs, helps keep the larger team of builders in work as they build his big mansion and pays their salarys.

People who think rich people don't pay enough tax are barking mad.

Yeah they might pay more tax if they weren't so skilled at exploiting tax loopholes.

Two mintues + Google will return a number of articles, even very recent ones, bemoaning the number of tax loopholes available to rich people to avoid paying the tax they should.

Harriet Harperson said that Gordon Brown "leaves a tremendous legacy" - well **** me, she got that one right! :D

The country needs REAL industry,.

yep, we should be heavily subsidising, renewable and alternative fuels. As well a s advanced technology in things like self driving cars and public transport. These are the technologies on the horizon which will explode and if we get in early can capitalise. Not only securing are energy supply, but then selling it to the world. Double win.

Like Labour MP's have been adept at?

Lets not forget that overall, 35% of low wage is spent on tax, whereas only 31% of a high wage goes on tax :(

People voted 'orange' under the impression that there would be a hung parliment where they actually had a say, and that they didn't join hands with the Tory's.

Clegg's screwed his votership and i'd be surprised if this wasn't the final nail in the coffin for his party.
