***The Official Forza Motorsport 3 Thread***

No engine, can put slicks on it, brakes and suspension already done, can change gearbox for race, driveshafts and LSD. And add a front and rear forza body kit. That's it pretty much :p

Prefering the SR8 myself at the minute

Can someone suggest to me, a good wheel to get please. I have a day off tomorrow and have some cash burning a hole in my pocket and I am really wanting a steering wheel to use on Forza.

Please tell me the best one...:(

Get the official MS Wheel, other than the Fanatec its the best one out for the 360

Ugh, R1 is hard as nails. I'm thinking I'll just start hiring a driver for the R1 races as they just aren't fun for me. I'll do the events in between, but I think I'll let the computer handle the actual races for me.

I'll probably do the same for the events in the event list when it comes to going for the all gold achievement... R2 I could just about handle, but beyond that I doubt I'll bother.

Well, downloaded the DLC and now my 360 keeps freezing \o/

Love the fact that its happening now after my warranty expired a few days ago.

I think it's Forza 3 Not your 360 mate as I've been getting Total Lock up when I go Multi, 4 times in a row tuther day I had to reboot until I got into a Lobby.
Now my 360 is about 4 weeks old & is a 150w Jasper so I blame Forza 3 as Forza 2 used to lock up as well once you had a decent amount of cars.

As far as DLC goes I spent Three & a half Million yesterday on Cars & Mods. :D
Driving them Standard & then putting the right parts on & then tuning every car took Ages but there are a couple of right Gems amongst the DLC. ;)

Well Apparently the Fanatec wheel is s'posed to be the best but I'm not up for paying 300 odd quid on a Game controller.
I bought a 2nd hand Microsoft wheel from my local Indie for 48 of my quids & it's Awesome. A great price & a superb wheel/pedal set.
I cannot explain in words how much the Fun factor of racing is improved but I can say my racing lines are Much more precise with the wheel. You can also race bumper to bumper with other racers without stressing so passing is Much easier & online is much less stressful.

If you do get a wheel get Dirt2 as the Feedback is Fan ******* Tastic.

Ugh, R1 is hard as nails. .

Knock it back to Medium for the R1 races mate & as they are R1 class they'll still give you a fair race. On hard you have to drive a Perfect race for up to 10 laps.
I knock it back to Medium as I am not racing 6-8 laps then making a mistake & wasting half hour. + :p

Personally I use the Events to fine tune my motors as between races you can Tune. ;)

Any Noobs to the game that need a Decent motor that Actually stops & handles like a Car then Shout me.
I can build a Very decent WRX & pass it over at Cost. (Think it's about 50k 'ish.) Car will be Built, Modded & Tuned.
I can't be generous for a week or so as I spent 3 & a half Mill yesterday. :D

I went to town and picked up the Official MS one. Just been having a blast on it round the 'ring and Suzuka and can say its well good.. The first few laps of the 'ring were absolutely rubbish as I was getting used to it. Very twitchy as I am going 250mph on home straight but now I'm settling down with it.

I used the paddles for gears and knocked off quite a few seconds of the laps until I reached the time I am stuck with, now just to try and beat my Suzuka time, just that extra 10th/sec makes it feel money well spent. I have been doing the East circuit mostly as its short and has some varied corners and a few decent straights.

As you say it has deffinately added heaps more fun factor.:D

Worth the cash. It was new btw.

Ok I'm not after a motor off you but just some insight into how you go about tuning your cars. I have not really messed around with the tuning part yet, only the final drive for getting the top speed on the longest straight (I was told by my cousin who used to work in Formula 3000 many moons ago that the first thing they do when prepping the race car for a track is to get the car to reach the redline in final gear just on the breaking point of the corner) this is how I have got my GTR @ 262mph in the Le Mans track.

So, in what order do you tune? How do you make the car stop, turn in to corners properly etc?

Also what mods do you apply? On my Focus RS and Nissan GTR I have maxxed out both cars. Should I remove some mods?

Hope I make sense and I hope you can help.:)
