Ok Generally that style of stem is usually found on Full sussers and any DH/AM/FR type of bikes, I personally im running a 65mm stem, but thats because it suits my style, went through 5 stems to find one that suited me, As you say the scott scale 50 has a 100mm stem as standard, so something around 80-90 would take it closer and not too much, But again if your LBS has a selection you could try a few to see which looks closer to what you want.

Type of pad and braking performance never came into the equation. They were bought soley on the fact that he doesn't have that colour on his bike already!

Serious business now; how come you went for the Kevlar? Just curious.

How do they compare to the Organic and Sintered pads?

cheers mate. appreciate the links and your input. Ive found quite a few stems. Would appreciate it if someone could have a quick look through and maybe give some opinions.
Also, im really not sure of which length stem to go for? Would 50mm be too short?

veeerrry nice bike, now all you need to do are those bleeding reflectors, get a DM stem and remove the spacers under the stem and you're sorted!

Spec me a decent dry lube for my chain guys ?

I'm sick of it being covered in grit and dust after a 5 mile ride.
I've been using finish line wet lube but it even in the wet is still picks up everything.
