This really irks me. My gf is from Walsall and moved to MK when she was about 8. She says mom all the time, and yeah she's special alright.. lol

I say mum, anything else sounds wrong to me.
 
I say 'Mum' but spell it 'Mom'. Something to do with the majority of my family being either born or raised in Brum I guess.
 
Depends on where I am and who I am speaking to. When in Newcastle generally refer to her as mam (saves my cousins having to tax their brains trying to understand me), when with siblings, then as mother. All other times generally as mum.

Same here. I always refer to my Mum as 'Mum', but that's only because I left the North East a long time ago, so speak properly.
