havnt read the whole thread. So this might have already been answered/shown: what's the exchange support like on the desire? As 'exchange support' can mean a lot of things when it comes to usage. :-p

Mine does it, ive had two desires, neither of them did it on the first two days, but it seems to come after a while of use.

FroYo adds extra features like security policies, remote wipe, GAL lookup etc so everything you'd expect is added in FroYo, only basic support at present.

Check the keyboard settings, from the main settings menu - you can turn on or off keyboard sounds and vibration on key presses

EDIT: Forgot to add, Paul from Modaco is promising a direct 2.2 port by then end of the week for you guys. You'll loose Sense and all it's widgets, but if you're rooted it might be worth a look

I was all set on getting an iPhone 4g when its released, but after seeing/playing with a HTC Desire the other day, im starting to re-consider.
As long as i can get it to do whatever my iPhone can, then its a serious contender for me.
Then its just a case of Desire vs One.

RARR right I tried the second official screen protector from the two-pack and it's absolute bollards. It's not cut to the right shape (the two long sides are not parallel) and the second protector already had dust stuck between the protective layer and the actual protector. What a waste of money.

What's the word on what's best in the third party screen protector realm?

I bought a pack of 6 cheapo screen protectors off ebay and they have been fine, I had also ordered the official ones which arrived after my cheapo ones so i tried the official ones but after trying to put both the official ones on i dumped them in the bin and went back to the other ones.

Many people say you dont need a protector but ive already managed to get a very small scratch on my scree within days of getting the phone (1st week of release)

Just realised my phone was left in the car from earlier today and I ran out to get it. It was toasting ^_^

Punched in *#*#4636#*#* into the dialer and noticed the battery temp was 45.1 degrees!

Won't be leaving out in this weather again I think

Got the 'passive' kit for mine. Foxed me for a minute as I didn't realise that to mount the holder to the proclip you have to bore the screws into the plastic, it's not pre-drilled

Still, fantastic piece of kit, but very pricey.

Ah I've used Martin Fields in the past, cheers for the offer but I'll see if I can get a set of them on the cheap.

didn't know about that till now, just tried it and shows ~33c.

my official screen protectors from jersey still havent arrived, staus says posted 13/05. at least one person on here said they recieved theirs by the 15th(saturday).

I love how it still says "Please allow up to 7 days for delivery of your Desire" on the Mobilephonesdirect website, when they clearly know they aren't getting any until mid June

Glad I went with Mobiles.co.uk, seem a far superior outfit, even though MPD were quite good when I got my N900 from them, they are just blagging it now as they have failed to secure anywhere close to enough Desire stock.

They are almost as bad as Vodafail earlier in this thread!

Bore, not drill

The plastic is soft enough so that with a bit of force and a screwdriver you can make the holes without a drill.

Just watch out that the bits are intact before you start boring holes that mean you can't return it. Before I started I found that someone had already returned my proclip as one of the 'slots' was broken and the packaging had been stapled back together. Had to RMA and wait for a replacement.

Im not using any screen protectors, been a long time since i damaged a phone!

Been using pouches like the one that came with my old magic for my past few phones!

Got one of them wee android pouches ordered but my gf gave me one she bought for her se x10... which she is now selling for a desire!
