It's an Orange exclusive unfortunately.
I thought as much. Perhaps better to go through Carphone Warehouse then and get a unbranded/sim free handset, I think they are anyway.
Anyone know if the benefits are the same? as on the orange site I'm looking at Panther 35, that comes with 400 mins, unlimited texts, internet and 50 picture messages a month (18 months). Will these same things be on the contract if I buy via carphone warehouse?

They might not do the same price plans. Check their site and see if they offer anything similar. I think CPW Orange handsets are branded, I think that's where Khaan got 1 of his.
Only other option is Ebay, sim free atm.
Mine is from CPW and is 'Orange'. But it's SIM free and completely unbranded. They'll get one out for you to show you if you ask them.
just call the voice mail and wait for a minute and then hang up, it will get rid of the icon and then stop divert to voicemail from phone's settings

Can save loads of money be not going direct to Orange.Decided to finaly give my desire a full test run tonight (although the internet is down) i have the following car cradle

which i got from this thread somewhere, just noticed you cant really plus the power in whilst in the cradle, will go in but i think after some use it'll just screw up the connection. I am thinking about hacking a hunk out of the buttom so it doesnt cover the micro usb port. Anyone else done this? or any other mads they've done to get around this.

I'm hoping for some help here i've just got my Desire today didn't look at it till tonight as i was at work till 9pm.
I've got a few problems i'm hoping someone might no the answer too.
First off i imported all my contacts from the sim card but now i see sim card contacts and phone contacts?

If your passkey is all caps then...you need caps on 
Once contacts are moved/copied to the phone it will sync with your gmail account. Go into Gmail and then manage all contacts there. Set them up perfectly then give it a few mins and they will sync correctly back to the phone.
From here on you can manage contacts from either gmail or phone and assign people to groups and whatnot plus add more numbers and details and so on.
To delete sim contacts quickly just put the sim into another phone and wipe them off.
Once contacts are moved/copied to the phone it will sync with your gmail account. Go into Gmail and then manage all contacts there. Set them up perfectly then give it a few mins and they will sync correctly back to the phone.
From here on you can manage contacts from either gmail or phone and assign people to groups and whatnot plus add more numbers and details and so on.

I have this problem and all i do is just delete the phone contacts so it just shows sim....
1-Go into your contact, press menu then edit contact and next to the number you already have for the person there is a green plus, press that and it will add a new number which you can customize. (Copied from Skyfall in another thread)

I've seen the Google Navigation car dock screen (the black arch thing with the buttons on it), how do you get that to appear, do you need to install it, if so, where can I find it?

DOH i'm so stupid with the password not in caps yep i have that working now.
I've sync gmail but i can't find anywhere on there where my phone contacts are?
Yeah thats what i've done all i have is 13 contacts ( emails) from peopel on the web i know.
Nothing at all on my phone contacts.

Go into the contact, at the bottom click add detail. You can add other numbers, emails etc from there.
