Neodite did you wipe?

It's the only hold point for me :p

I don't recall having to wipe for the HTC Magic...or maybe I did....hmm :/
 
Im not sure if you HAVE to, but i did anyway. I didn't realy have much on there anyway as my desire only arrived 2 days ago.

Having fun setting everything up today at work :p

And nope i didn't have to use a goldcard. The phone is from o2.
 
I have a strange issue when I get in the car and the device pairs with bluetooth which works fine I then call someone and they can hear an echo of their voice on the call, it appears to happen to everyone I call :(

Anyone else had this issue?
 
I maybe being extremely dense here but, when I had my Hero, I had a handy switcher( on the screen) to turn the mobile internet connection on/off, however on this 2.1 version of Android there are only switches for Wifi, bluetooth, GPS, Sync and brightness. There has to be a quicker way to turn 3G on and off then navigating the settings.

You can have a switch for turning mobile on and off (i have one), just press down on home screen >widget>settings>mobile network. That should be what you're after.

What was the APP called that lets you take screenshots when you are rooted?

Once ive finished playing around i wanna take a screeny lol
 
ShootMe is what I used once rooted before. Works nicely, just load, hide and shake to save a screenshot!
 
So whats the best deal on this atm? Need decent texts, don't care about voice minutes really (100 ish) and unlimited internet.

My contracts up with T-Mobile in the middle of July and I want in on Android :p. Been stuck with WinMo the last 18 months. Been with T-Mobile 3 years, can I expect a decent deal out of them or is not worth it?

Is there anything better coming out soon? The Dell Streak looks interesting but 1.6 ftl.
 
Anyone seen the new HTC Vision? I think it is planned for release later this year, but that would have been my ideal phone.

I had emailed HTC just over a month ago asking if they planning to make anything like the Desire but with a full qwerty keyboard (I upgraded from a N97) and I got no reply :(

Starting to have a problem since i rooted.

Not sure if it's due to rooting or somthing else tho.

Ive selected to download a few APPS and to update a few. And when i click downloads they show up and underneath them it just says "Starting Download" it's said this for about 30mins now and ive tried a reboot.

My internet is working in most things, but facebook for example gets an error but i can view the facebook site in the browser =\

well you could get it simfree/payg for like £350-£400 and get tmobile to transfer you to a sim only a upgrade time.

or there's deals from mobiles.co.uk, mobilephonesdirect or beeby.co.uk if you can be bothered to read back in the thread people have mentioned the deals from those 3 sites recently(tho the rate at which this thread is going, something someone said e.g. yesterday is alread several pages back).

Facebook isnt working for me either both on wifi or the vodafone data network. Mines a stock desire thats not rooted so probably a facebook issue.
