Breaking a padlock :D

i doubt u will be able to drill or angle grind that lock, it looks pretty serious and u would need some specialist drill bits or cutting discs to get through that. best way as previously mention would be to angle grind the vertical bolt the paddlock is attached to as near to the paddlock as possible, so what ever security device it is attached to can be re-used.

If not u need a gun, again this technique always breaks paddlocks. :D

Specialist cutting discs not required on hardened metals.

Angle grinder IS the best option as long as you can contain the sparks (don't burn the carpet :D )

I'd get someone to carefully weld something to the snapped off key inside it if possible, then you'll have something to grip to pull it out.

Have you tried just using the rest of the key as normal?

I snapped off the ignition key in my car once (yeah yeah), and the broken bit was too far into the barrel to pull out... so i just pushed it in further with the bit that was in my hand and turned it, and it started fine. 1 key in two halves, works a treat.

He mentioned it's the wrong key in the hole.

Recip saw. Metal Blade, job done.

But how many hours have you been working on this so far, how much do you get paid per hour how much business are you loosing from not doing your regular tasks and how much is the desk worth?

All out of interest but you may see where I'm going with this.
