unable to take photos at the moment, says unable to save photos to sd card due to insufficientfile permissions.

Any ideas? i have reset camera defaults, the card isnt locked (that i know of) i been draggign and dropping files over to it (roms and apk files) over the past week. Cant see a setting to give the camera permission to save to the SD card.

Also i see people posting links to apps with then barcode blocks... how do you read them?

Read them with any Barcode scanner or Google goggles from the market.

Try this for your SD Card problem -

- Press Menu/Settings
- SD & Phone Storage
- Unmount SD Card

Turn off your phone then take out the SD Card. Replace the SD Card & Battery then reboot your phone. With any luck it should be working again.

Worked a treat, thanks :D

Ok this is getting silly, I had 14 mb of space this morning and now 11, so yet again I'm going to have to remove an app or 2 to get my phone to sync again

At this rate I'm going to have no apps left!
Where is it going?! :/

Something is caching data onto the phone memory. Go into you big apps - browser maps etc and clear the cache, should give you a fair amount more space :)

See if its possible to switch the cache location to the SD, which may be possible depending on the app thats causing it

I wonder if this will get updated to HTC's new Sense UI (if of course it's real)...

Have a look at the date of that article. It was probably a fake, its been 5 months since and HTC have released 4 big Sense+2.1 phones since then (Desire, Legend, Evo and Droid Incredible) , and Froyo won't have been under development at that point :)

It looks like a themed Hero ROM to me, and I'm glad Sense has remained as it was, even if the launcher tray itself is still terrible

Well I'm rooting my Desire again, love Linux Mint.

Recommend installing Titanium Backup when you have root, having all your contacts synced with Google Cloud and having SMS Backup application.

Should restore most of your settings when going between ROMs.

Smashing!

Khaaan! go and root your phone, I know you want to :p

Everyone else has done it! :D

(Just back it up and then you dont lose things)

There's no benefit in me doing it now and only means I have to redo my settings for no reason when I'd be rooting soon anyway!
