Do I need to install Apps2SD if I'm going to use Froyo? Isn't that already a feature of Froyo?

Ignore the Apps2SD bit from that easy guide, there's an easy way to get it sorted when you have Froyo installed

Froyo is version 0.4 from here - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=690477 thats the one you want (incase you wondered )

Going to give rooting a go later seeing as you can recover a bricked phone..

Now after reading all of those guides and reading the things you've read, it's all really badly explained considering how easy it is, isn't it?

Now all you have to do to flash a new ROM is those easy 10 steps posted earlier, takes no more than a minute (For Froyo updates and such as they are released)

One problem. USB storage won't turn on.

Yep. I choose the turn usb storage option and it shows a loading icon but never does anything. If the screen turns off or the screen orientation is changed, it just goes back to the turn on button.

Have you restarted the phone and tried it again?

Failing that, take the battery and SD card out, wait a minute, then put them back in and try again.
