Yeah, I did that. They said "we are experiencing a backlog in credit checks due to the bankholiday weekend".

Seems a bit odd to me, since everything is electronic (you fill out all the information required for the credit check when you place the order), and these things usually come back in under a minute.

Yeah, it's all done by computer so you are right there.

If a monster amount of orders had been placed and the system failed or something, it may be possible.

I'd challenge what they are saying and say you want it putting through immediately otherwise mobiles.co.uk have offered to match their deal for you, or something ;)
 
A little help please.

I have launcher pro and I set it so my home button goes to the launcher pro home screen, how can I close it and go back to the stock home screen? If I force stop it then I press home its back again lol.

App Management > LauncherPro/HTCSense > Clear defaults

Another for you, With the launcher pro running, if I get a text and I use the quick reply thing, afterwards I still have a notification about the text despite it being replied too, anything I can do? Little things like this really bug me lol.

When launcher pro is running can I make the text message icon open Handcent? Right now it opens the default text messaging app.

Edit - notifications going now :)
 
On my Desire the call waiting (if someone calls when I'm on a call) notification is really quiet.....does anybody know how to make it louder? Its a very quiet beep that I cannot hear if I am having a conversation or there is any background noise.

Yeah; press and hold the sms icon, choose applications and then you should get a list of installed apps. Pick Handcent from here, and then choose which icon you want.
 
Aha! I see you posting on the Modaco forum Scottland.

I've found someone to bake me some custom roms from the kitchen at last! :D

Ah, I'm getting there slowly lol. I now have it linking to handcent but the icon is the handcent one and I can get it to change lol.

Edit - got it, had to update to the beta.

I've managed to get the WiFi working. I had to make my goldcard again and install the ROM which I used to debrand Orange (RUU-MoDaCo-Bravo-1.15.405.4-release). It installed fine, just have to avoid the OTA when it pops up.
 
It seems Handcent SMS is missing from the marketplace at the moment, only the keyboard and font pack on there. Any other way I can get hold of it?
