*** The Official HTC Desire (Bravo) Thread! ***

Got the DoubleTwist player on the phone and the PC Sync thing setup so I'll see how it compares to iTunes.

Won't have to do much to be a whole lot better though, mind :p

Edit: Impressed so far  I like how it's integrated with the Android Market. Picked up all my music and stuff etc all fine.

Just needs an equaliser adding to the media player now and they might well be on to something.

I'm on simplicity 12 month with unlimited internet but over the past couple of days i seem to be getting a lot of dropping the data connection or no network issues?

I've rebooted the phone and looking at the setting i don't see anything out of sorts.

I've had H bar a couple of times but mostly i'm stuck on G bar which is so slow.

In mobile settings i have :-

Data roaming -Ticked

Access point names -02postpay

Network mode - GSM/WCDMA auto

Network operator - o2-uk

Enable always on mobile data - Ticked

Any ideas please?

Thanks i'll have a look at these tomorrow.

A friend of mine at work said he thought O2 would have sent me something but I've not received anything from them ?

Whether you do it or not is up to you .... but reading around this morning the wifi issue seems limited to Orange phones which have been debranded, i.e. not unbranded phones including phones on Orange who were purchased through a third party company and are not branded.

I don't know what is causing the issue, I posted the error I see when trying to activate the wifi earlier. My phone with the OTA update installed looks to still be running the older version of the baseband stuff than that included with the OTA version of the firmware packaged as a RUU file on the XDA Dev site. It is possible that this is causing the issue but I have read that upgrading this means you get the sim lock message on your Orange SIM (so you'd have to pay for an unlock code).

Backed it out down to the old firmware version (using the RUU file and gold card I debranded with). All seems fine at the moment.

Ive installed the new update and im sure the phone feels quicker and internet browsing over wifi feels quicker ?

Received my Desire, loving it so far! The battery seemed to go down pretty fast though which is worrying (from full to 1 bar in about 5 hours) however I guess it was quite intensively used. :p

Just wondering should I bother turning my phone off at night or is it better for the battery to leave it on constantly? I also read that li-ons are more efficient if they are not charged/depleted fully, so should I be aware of this? I used to just leave my N82 on constantly then recharge to full when it was fully depleted, it lasted a week like this, but obviously a Desire is more demanding.
