Game moments which you've just thought.... "My goodness"

The whole of Guild Wars before it got destroyed by the nerf bat. Especially the original campaign :)

One of the best moments for me was the Matrix level in Conkers Bad Fur day :D

Star Wars Galaxies: Me and a few friends started playing and we stayed on Tatooine we didnt really know about planetary travel so hadnt been to any other planets yet, but one day me and a friend thought we'd venture off somewhere, by happy mistake we ended up in Theed. Utterly stunning, we just stood there talking on TS for like 10minutes, the amount of people and scenery was utterly epic. "My goodness!"

*Pre-CU all those years ago, obviously.

Hmm

Mass effect 2 where i had a huge fight on hard mode with the collectors...

thats a game with a 100% perfect storyline

x2 The only game i've played in a long time which fully engrossed me

Edit: Before that the first time I played a mech warrior 2 and watched this trailer I was blown away.

It would have to be KOTOR - there were some seriously great twists where you were just like "WTF!". This is closely followed by ME1+2 (as my girlfriend stated, "it looks like an interactive movie") - ME2 really had me gripped from beginning to end.

WoW, up until WotLK as I think that wasnt a good expansion.

HL2...every moment of it.

Age of Empires, the orginal as it was the first multiplayer game I owned and I used to meet up all the time with 4-5 friends and constantly play it over and over and over and over.........

Half-Life, Half-Life 2 - really enjoy the whole Half-Life atmosphere
Planetside - Flying across a continent in the back of a Galaxy transport for the first time, then dropping into a huge base battle with upwards of 200 people fighting. Was fantastic even if I didn't really know what I was meant to be doing and got my ass handed to me.
Starwars Galaxies - It was huge, looked great, had a superb atmosphere and a really nice community.
Neocron - My first MMO, I just left my apartment and found my way to Plaza 1 and saw so many cool looking people standing chatting and others running about. Though this moment was bettered about a week later when I ventured out through the main gate of the city for the first time. The landscape looked great, and the musical score was/is fantastic and really sets the atmosphere.

Half life 1, the intro in the tram was just awe inspiring at the time.

WoW when I first got my mount.

BF2142 when I was on fire and came first place in a round.

Golden axe warrior on the master system , completed it last night for the first time! (I had it when I was a sprat)

Transition from Dynasty Warriors to Dynasty warriors 2 for me.

And going into UBRS for the first time in WoW, Back in early 06, with the kiting of Drakki and all that lot, that was awesome!

World of Warcraft. Absolutely mind-bending the first time you play through it.

This.

Also the 1st time you warp in EVE online.

The Shalebridge Cradle level in Theif.

The trench section in Half Life.

The scale of Freepsace 1 & 2

Cool, another NC player :) used to love this game. Bugged up to hell, but it was brilliant. Check out Earthrise that looks like it may be a modern version on Neocron.

I had a house right on the edge of the cliff just outside the building exclusion zone near Theed. I loved that game :)
