Am very confused!
The girlfriend was just told by staff at o2 (oxford circus I presume) that they cannot give anyone a micro-sim instore until the 24th and o2 WILL NOT be sending any micro-sims out (as their registering page suggested)......
Anybody heard otherwise? Seems this launch is a right mess as far as the networks go.
Argh.
If thats the case ill just pop into town, get a normal simplicity chip then cut it down myself.
Best to have the chip prior to getting the unit.
That is an option but it seems part of the metallic element on the sim will need cutting so take care. I'll probably be doing this aswell if O2 won't give/sell new micro sims and transfer the details over.

I tried to find out this morning, at first I was told I need to get Simplicity for iPhone but then they told me they have no idea, and I should just keep checking the site on the 24th.
Really not be the most prepared launch, things should be a lot smoother than this.

Not at all. O2's handset prices are the same regardless of 18month or 24 month contract. Orange's handset prices change.
So is it safe to assume existing customers will get no upgrade deal?
My O2 contract run out at the start of the month and I'm guessing they will offer me no discount in order to keep me?
If that is the case I will most probably jump ship to one of the others as O2's 3G coverage is laughable at the best of times.

O2's prices are the same as they were for 3GS launch and 3G launch.
