Network next to never ever discount on iPhones due to the high demand of them
yea thats what i thought, but i think i'll call them anyway and try the old 'gonna change network' threat.

Simplicity for iPhone starts at £20. No idea why it should be any different to the normal Simplicity plans but there you go.

Do it yourself, it's no bother. Find a sim from another network, stick it in and sync your iPhone with the computer. It will then be unlocked and you can put the O2 sim back in.I'm putting my 32GB 3GS on eBay. I requested with O2 that it be unlocked and they sent me the text saying 'just put a new sim card in and sync with iTunes.'
Does that mean I can reset it to factory settings and whoever buys it off eBay will be able to use their sim in it, or do I need to personally unlock it?
Cheers
It's odd how the prices have gone up since the release of the 3G, even accounting for inflation. You'd expect the growth of other smartphones and the maturing technology would bring prices down.
Except that the volumes are high when it comes to the iPhone...No the Apple pricing strategy is based around premium product - low volume, high price.
When the hell are we gonna be able to order/pre-order from providers (for me, O2) Are we expected to wait right up until the 24th release date![]()

I think due to the overwhelming amount of preorders on the apple store its prevented any chance of a preorder from a network provider. I believe o2 and carphone warehouse were set on doing preorders originally. Apple has to prioritise their own orders so it seems the networks are taking a back seat for now. Shame as i really wanted to order from o2.
