Just making a point to all the people saying Rooney is over rated and only made to look good by the players around him

To be honest most English players are overrated, it's not the fault of the players it's the media. Rooney is excellent for Man Utd and amongst the best forwards in the world obviously, but for England lately he's been poor, that was my only point. Capello needs to change things around an I'm not saying that just because I hate Rooney or Man Utd or anything like that, I was saying it because I want England to do well. He's not performing and neither are the rest of the team, if Capello doesn't make some proper changes for the Slovenia game then he deserves the sack really.

Your only as good as your last game, Rooney, gerrard & Lampard are woeful.
How anyone can say these players are world class is beyond me. In my book, to be world class you have to play amazing at world competitions and standout.
England players do stand out, but for the wrong reasons.
Hence why any English player is not worlc class.
For me, and my generation I have watched. Zidane, "Fat" Ronaldo, "smug" Ronaldo, Gascoigne and Shearer are world class.

No, they need to shut up and do their jobs.
Capello's the manager and he picks the team and tactics, and no matter how poor his selections have been, we should have still beaten both the USA and Algeria. The players need to quit sulking and take responsibility for their own performances.

I would agree, but it seems a different approach is needed.
Whether thats wrong or right is another issue really.
I agree with you, but to beat Algeria they didnt even need to be world class they could have been normal class, but they werent even that. If they would just perform averagely things would start happening. Not every goal has to come from an outrageously awesome pass or move, just have to have simple attacking football, none of this passing about in defence and then lose the ball tactics. Just simple, easy football would have done the job and more. And when they get a chance at goal then stay cool and hit the target rather than the keeper. So many chances to score wasted.
Why the hell was john terry sent to talk for the players. Make him the captain if Gerrard is to thick to speak up.

Call me reasonable, but I doubt very much if the collective decision to have Terry at this particular press conference was down to Gerrards intelligence levels or choice even.
Which must show the players have much more faith in Terry than Gerrard if a collective decision was taken to have Terry speak for the players.
Since when have the players decided who goes to the press conferences? It's the FA/Capello who decide and it's usually pretty random.
If Terry has spoke on behalf of the players then I'd imagine that once he was told he was doing the press conference, a few of the senior players got together and decided he should pass that message on. It's more likely though that he's just took it upon himself and said it on the spur of the moment.
edit: and if we believe danny then Gerrard is to blame for the BP oil spill too

Come off it that was a pretty big press conference with all the rumours doing the rounds not to have the captain speak at it. I cannot imagine Beckham would have not made that press conference when he was captain.
Maybe they were worried Gerrard would say something he shouldn't as he might be one of those with an axe to grind on formation

Not at all, at least not unless we're just looking at it from a "lets bash Gerrard" point of view. Or alternatively unless you are privy to the decision making process within the England camp...which I VERY much doubt.
Who knows what reason was behind it, perhaps before the World Cup started it was agreed amongst the camp that each of a set of key players would have a press conference, maybe its just Terrys turn for that. Maybe there is another reason, we can only guess..or alternatively we can just jump to any conclusion we want which fits our bash player X desire the best.
