*** The Official HTC Desire (Bravo) Thread! ***

Actually, yes I did. I've logged in using both but can't download with either

Try this, I read it somewhere:

A couple of days ago, while I was in irc I read a good tip that James_B found. You can change the gmail account that the google apps use without having to do a factory reset on the phone. Just go to: Settings>apps>manage apps and clear the data for “google apps”. This works on Android 1.5

Says 1.5, but might work.

GoogleTalk will still be broken though without doing a Factory Reset of the phone and entering your @gmail email address in the setup wizard that first launches when you reset the phone.

You will need to change your email back to googlemail if you want your previous ROM to work or just do a factory reset and set it up again under gmail.

who else syncing there contacts with gmail? does it bug you when you search for a call contact or msg contact it brings up any old sod from gmail you have emailed? does anyone know if this is resolved in 2.2?

I think you can just add a new group on gmail for the contacts you want to keep synced with the phone?

yeah that works for contacts. if i click 'people' i just my gmail synced group. happy with that, but when you go to search for a number when sms or calling it listed everything that gmail auto saves even if not added as a contact, frustrating when sending a text,

Erm, trying DeFroST 1.0 and it's not connecting to my WiFi, just continually scanning, and doesn't seem to want to even try the mobile network even though it's enabled.

Thats a forum post not an indication of a known fault.
Ive got mine setup with both and it works fine.

It's a known fault, Google have acknowledged it:

Known issues with changing your address

Android: If you use an Android device and change your address, the following apps may not connect properly: Google Talk and Android Market. The current solution for this is to change back to @googlemail.com, or do a full reset of your Android device and use @gmail.com. We are working on resolving this issue as soon as possible.

The guy in here with the issue has admitted he changed to Gmail and the issue has occurred since then, so clearly it is an issue.

Or are you still correct and I'm talking out of my arse?

Does anyone's Desire make a sound when you get a SMS coming in whilst on the phone? I get a faint beep for incoming calls whilst on a call, but no notification for SMS or Emails :(

isn't that a setting thing?

also, went to a t-mob store today and got moved to 3GB band. awesome :D

What you think ?

Looking to play with something new.

He doesn't mention the Video Camera not working, but I think that it doesn't and he's just not mentioned it - I'm guessing more than just the Kernel is based on Richardtrips port.
