*** The all new iPhone 4 thread - Keep all iPhone 4 stuff in here ***

Will I have to goto o2 for my upgrade or can apple process those too?

Apple say on their website that they're able to do upgrades for pay monthly contracts, although it doesn't indicate which networks they'll be supporting. I rang up White City to ask and they said that they were fairly sure 02, Orange and Vodafone contract owners would be able to upgrade in-store.

Hi,

Well I expected Vodafone might try and kick up a fuss or at least try and charge me £20 for the iphone4 micro-sim card however I called them up, told them I am ordering an iphone4 from apple direct and that I wanted a micro-sim. They said 'okay fine - it will be with you on the 22nd of June - anything else I can help with?' so that was more trouble free than I expected!

Sam

Obvious "i can afford to drop seven hundred big ones on a phone" thread is obvious.

Just checked and there is no update yet of iOS4. Make sure you have the latest version of iTunes (9.2 I believe)

re: The "Cash" question.

100% they do as I'm paying in cash and had seen on ALL documentation/emails etc about what to bring it always mentions credit card.

Bloke said it wasn't a problem.

I've picked up bits of this throughout the previous crazy amount of posts in this thread - but just to clarify: where are people getting their O2 micro sims from?

I have a 3G that was on an 18 month contract (18 months was up in Jan) so switched to Simplicity (not for iPhone, just the £10 a month Simplicity), and so far have reserved an iPhone with Apple that i'm planning on picking up on Thursday but have no micro sim to put in it yet...

Go to an o2 store from today with your email confirmation to collect a MicroSim.

Never mind, i found this from O2:

If you have pre-ordered iPhone 4 directly from Apple you can get an O2 micro sim from any O2 shop. Simply go to an O2 shop any time from Monday 21 June and bring along your pre-order confirmation email from Apple. You'll need to show it in order to get your micro sim.

So all is good!

Edit: you're too quick for me mr sly, thanks for the help!

So is anyone the wiser at to whether those who simply reserved their iPhone in an apple shop can go into o2 between now and Thursday to pick up a micro sim or presumably if the Apple shops themselves are sorting out upgrades they themselves will be able to sort you out your replacement sim when you go and pick up your phone

Apple/o2 could have made this all so much clearer :(

Have you read the two posts above?

I did hear that Apple will have stock of micro sims from various providers but that one i'm not so sure about. If i were you just go into an O2 store and pick one up...

At work guys and thought I'd post quick as I can't read this thread

I'm planning on buying out my O2 contract and then on Thursday phoning O2 to upgrade or go in O2 store to upgrade. Is this possible do you know? Obviously 1st come first serve but am I missing something as I see a lot of talk about the Apple shop.
