RUF Automobile GmbH is a German automobile manufacturer. RUFs are built from unmarked Porsche bodies and chassis. When a chassis arrives, RUF builds their own independent work into the car. Because RUF installs many of their own-made parts, the company is recognized as a manufacturer by the German government. RUF is mostly known for their CTR Yellowbird, and is the biggest and most renown company to make Porsche performance enhancements. RUF has also made a name for itself as an automobile refiner, specialist in vintage restoration and rebuilds of classic RUF and Porsche automobiles. RUF also carries out service and crash repair.
That's what Forza is for, surely? Shedloads of Porsches, and I can't control any of them. Take mine!
Actually, thinking about it, could Porsche have signed some kind of exclusivity with Microsoft over them putting Porsches in Forza but not GT5? I suppose it would have made more sense to go for Audi, what with the R8 being the headline Forza car.
In Gran Turismo 5 Prologue the car is indeed listed as a "BMW Concept 1 series Tii '07".
What amazes me more is that 800 standard cars have no interior what so ever.
That's just poor IMHO. So much for the real driving simulator.

That link seems to confirm no cockpit view for the 800 standard cars. Although they do have modelled unsersides, but only the 200 premium cars have amazing interiors.

Well that's 800 cars that I won't ever drive in the game then. Premium cars only for me....![]()
Why? Were the other GT games not good enough for you either?
No, but I had no choice in those games. I will always use cockpit view if it's available in racing games, and I will ignore any cars in GT5 that don't have a cockpit and just choose one that does. Sure, I'll be denying myself lots of cars but it would really niggle me playing some cars on cockpit view and others from bumper/bonnet cam.
It's your choice but I think you're being a little bit silly about it!![]()

1. Number of cars per track will vary (going by GT5p and various GT5 demos)
Small/narrow tracks less cars 16 players round London or Paris would be a bit mad
2. Rolling/Standing starts may be enforced at times, not at others
Explained before different starts for different race types as in real life
3. "Damage is not available in all races' comment from PD
Perhaps early beginer races its switch off ?
4. obviously standard cars are without interior and proper damage.
This is only exterior damage as such, they will still get dented, scratched etc but wont have bits fall off. Mechanical damage is the same for both types of cars
