When its finished wiping it will show the connect to iTunes screen - who ever you sell it to will then need to connect to their iTunes account to activate it.

As long as you wipe it you dont need to do anything else.

i have unlimited data on my simplicity sim at the moment that comes up in 3 months. does this mean i wont be able to just let this contract roll on? i'll be told im only getting 500mb from then??
 
Ahh what I was told by O2 Luton was slightly different - they felt that theres no point in having the microSIM until you had the iPhone 4. Still gonna pick one up later and get it activated in readiness...

im just going to walkinto 02 on thursday with my 3gs and say, upgrade me to iphone 4 and contract. let them do the work lol
 
what chances of getting an iphone 4 sim free from an apple store on Thursday? do you think all their allocations have been taken by online reservations?
 
Right picked up my Micro-Sim at O2 at lunch plus swapped over to Simplicty too.

Has anyone that's got their Micro-Sim activated it and moved their current number to it yet?

Can we do it now or wait until the iPhone 4 arrives? What do you need to do?
 
You can, if your micro sim is working. O2 are having problems with them at the moment, so it might be that your microsim is one of the ones that are having problems.

Unfortunately I have a micro-sim that does not work, so will have to give O2 a call later or pop into a store during the week. :(
 
I will be able to afford to renew a contract for the iPhone on Friday...

Well went into o2 at lunch and got my micro-sim, bloke behind the counter didn't ask me any questions about how I was getting the new iPhone just took my address and current phone number and handed it over :)

Now need to either get one before work at o2 or drive to my nearest Apple shop and pick up my reserved one after work :D
