*** The all new iPhone 4 thread - Keep all iPhone 4 stuff in here ***

Indeed, I can see idiots now buying these for upwards of £1000 :(

There were reports last week that people were pre-selling their phones on ebay for up to $5000! And that was just with the normal shortages due to a successful launch pre-order, never mind manufacturing shortages.

Got my microsim last night, transfered it all over with in 5mins.

Was expecting an hour for my old one to stop working, but it was a matter of minutes.

Thursday morning off work to go down and get one too :D can't wait now.

Im getting a PAYG from Orange which Im assuming will be locked, though I hope its not.
My iPhone pre-order mentions that O2 and Orange PAYG iPhones from Apple are network locked - though I think thats just an old statement that covers the 3GS PAYGs they have and maybe not the iPhone 4...

Id be surprised if not all contract/PAYG iPhones arent network locked...

I have just switched to O2 simpicity 1 month (£20) jobby. I asked if they would honour the unlimited data after October and they said yes.

Going to have to pop into a store at half-time tomorrow and pick up a Micro SIM.

What is the process to transfer over? Can I do it on my phone (web) whilst the footie is on?

Gave my 3G iPhone to it's new owner last night. As of today, until Thursday I am without a phone. I feel nekkid :( :o

No SMS access
No Emale
No Internets
No Twitter

TWO DAYS MAN. Two days I have to wait! It's a horrible feeling! :o

FYI for any one who's preordered for home delivery:

ALTHOUGH, this seems to be for the US only. Any one in the UK received a similar EMail?
I dont know if this is at all indicative but my MBP is due today looking at order tracking but Apple originally mentioned 'Delivers: 24 Jun, 2010 - 25 Jun, 2010'

Perhaps the same is for the iPhone as Apple seem to over-estimate their delivery days...

ps3ud0

Have any UK preorders from the Apple website shipped yet? my 2 iphone 4's just say not ready to ship, but still have the delivery date of the 24th?

This is US only. Spoke to an apple support advisor in chat and they stated it's got nothing to do with the UK and haven't had anyone complaining about random preorder cancellations. I know, I had to put my mind at rest too lol

Oh is this the usual production problems/stock shortages/important part shortage/warehouse flooding contrived stock shortage we have every time Apple and Nintendo release something?

Who saw this one coming? oh everybody..............

Vodafone have done an incredibly bad job of this phone launch - virtually no information at all and we're now two days before launch. As much as I dislike O2, at least they're keeping their customers informed!
