*** The all new iPhone 4 thread - Keep all iPhone 4 stuff in here ***

Just call my local store and she said they had a fair few in stock but there was a lot of people Q'ing still, so going to chance it at 12pm and see if there are any left, if not put my name down for the next batch :(

Got to the Orange store at 5:30am to wait with a friend, next person didn't turn up till nearly 7 and by the time it opened, only 7 people were waiting. But the o2 store across the road must have had 60+ people stretching down the street.

Just to got to wait for mine now! Come on UPS!!!

Just home, got to the 02 store at about half 6, was 4th in the queue. Sync'd and everythings running fine, the screen is just wooooooooooow.

In-Hand Signal Issue Isolated to Bottom Left Corner

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=03PQyWp0mWE

Earlier this evening, iPhone 4 signal drops had been reported from individuals holding their new iPhones in their hand. The issue seems to have been isolated to a specific location on the device itself. It is demonstrated well in this video by Insanely Great Mac.

The video shows that calls were consistently dropped when the iPhone 4 was held in the left hand while touching the bottom left corner.

It's not clear if the bottom-left sensitivity is a problem with every iPhone 4 or if there is only a batch of iPhone 4s that are affected. Of course, the solution for now would be to avoid holding the iPhone in the manner demonstrated.

Note: the lower number of bars on the iPhone 4 as compared to the 3GS is a known software issue. Apple told Mossberg that it would be addressed in a future software update.

Thank god i'm not a lefty... haha :p

Hazaa. In a short queue at an out of town cpw. Guy has just been round and said they have 16gbs in stock on o2. Just a matter of waiting in line now. 13 in front of me but not all are buying. Some are hangers on.

I wonder if Apple's solution is going to be a suggestion that we have all been holding our phones incorrectly for years and that the right way is to hold it between thimb and index finger:

Steve Jobs said:
In 2007 we revolutionised the phone. In 2010 we revolutionised how we hold it.

Just passed the O2 and Apple stores in Birmingham city centre on my way into work:

HUGE, iPhone 4 Flaw

WOW !
This isnt so good.
According to a very well known iPhone forum this has been tested and verified my numerous iPhone4 owners

Apparently, if you hold the iPhone 4 by the antenna band, you'll lose your bars, your reception, and maybe even your call. As this video making the rounds showcases, holding the handset with your fingers pressed upon the antenna throws off your cell reception and effectively reduces your bars all the way down, in some cases, to zero.

Yay. Guy has come back and told me I have one. Just got to wait my turn.
Out of the box thinking you see. Small cpw ***.

Just txt my mate, he is still in the queue outside Apple at the Trafford Centre. He got there at 6am and there were LOADS of people there lol, there is still about 30-40 infront of him but problem is there's another queue with those who reserved and they are going in 3-4 at a time, then just 1 person from his queue.

I stayed in bed, I'll go later for my reserved one from in Arndale.
