Unfortunately I'm not joking/trolling - I am having some strange wifi issues. It says I have full connection yet pages wont load. I have my 3G as well, same page loads in 2-3 seconds so it cant be router problem?

Pages do load sometimes, but it seems hit and miss atm?
 
Well the Q at my local o2 was still 40 strong at 09:45 this morning, however a CPW nearby that had signs up saying no 4G stock instore actually had 5 delivered this morning that they weren't expecting so when I walked in they had 2 left :D and offered me one there and then

Only issue is o2 haven't sent the early upgrade details to them so they said they can't process it for me until later :( it was sitting on the counter infront of me lol.........

They've held it for me and will call me later so I can go back and pay :D

Why didn't you just wait and get the 32gb model if you wanted that? People seem insane when it comes to this phone.
 
I bet the signal issues is software baseed. Fact is: signal WILL drop (even slightly) from having it placed on a table to holding it in your hand. I expect the software isn't reading/displaying the drop correctly.

My 3GS never used to do it. Since the iOS4 update it does.

This would be all well and fine but the signal drop is so much that it goes to 'Searching..' - that is not a sign of something that is reporting incorrectly.
 
OK just for clarification:

I've got a reservation at Apple. I'm intending to finish my current o2 contract 6 months early with the £20 pm early upgrade deal. I then want to take out a new contract with o2 and get the iPhone at the subsidised price. I also want to keep my number.

Is it possible for all this to be sorted at the Apple store? Or will I need to ring o2 before I head to Apple and pick up my reservation? I'm going down later in the afternoon when the queues have died down a bit.
 
I've just got a text from Orange (10:00am ish) stating my order has been dispatched, giving my DPD consignment number...

...When I track it, it says delivered in January :eek:

Thoughts? I suspect the consignment number hasn't been added to the tracking system yet, and it's picking up the last item that used the number.

I'm not worried about the signal thing either now, 3G/3GS units running iOS3 ok are reporting signal loss once upgraded to iOS4 - it's got to be a software/firmware fix. If all else fails, Apple can replace it for me.

...and I'll stick a rubber band around it while I wait ;)
