*** The all new iPhone 4 thread - Keep all iPhone 4 stuff in here ***

I think it is shocking that Apple have not yet responded in any way to this reception/bridging issue. The longer the wait the more serious I feel it may be.

If it is a hardware issue, & tbh I cannot see how it can't be then this is going to be an absolute nightmare for them.

Dodgy screens is one thing, but unable to make calls unless you hold the phone in a 'certain' way is absolutely ridiculous & should not be accepted by anyone! & no a free 'bumper' is not an acceptable solution :p

Got my iphone and have the yellow spots :(

Is it confirmed by Apple that it should "go away" after a few days?

The technical consultant who pitched the agent to Apple, has confirmed it'll go after a few days, when it has cured.

It's the least of your worries if you have the antenna issues though :o

Hope that's true.

Like everyone else I do have the antenna issues but overall my reception is actually better than my 3G.

Spend 20mins with my mums nail file and that sorted my sim out. I've got the reception issue though. All I have to do is stick my finger over the lower left seam and the signal visibly drops in seconds to 1 bar GPRS.

Got my iphone earlier from the apple store at Lakeside. :D Turned up around midday thinking the queues would have died down a bit by then, but ended up in the reservations queue for 3 hours before I could get into the store. Very impressed with Apple's customer service though....they were coming round every half an hour with bottles of water, donuts and cookies!

Now onto the phone....The screen is amazing! I was blown away by how much clearer text is on this new display. I do have a yellow blob in the bottom left corner though, but hopefully this will go away in a day or so. I don't seem to be having any signal issues like lots of people are reporting. Yes, if I pick up the phone it goes down by a bar or 2, but my 3g did this when I tested it last night. It doesn't go to no service.

Overall, as long as the yellow blob goes away, I'll be very happy with this phone.

I wonder If this happening to people that cut down their sim?? As anyone here with a proper micro sim having this signal problem? As i am counting myself lucky so far my phone is how i want it

I have a proper micro-sim and have the attenna problem!

when you get a new phone you expect it to work at the price of £599. Period. No nail polish or duct tape workaround, or some $30 bumper case.

It IS Apple's problem. They released a product that doesn't work when you hold it a certain way? Are you kidding me? That's the stupidest thing I've ever heard.

So I've just found out that an o2 shop in Derby still has stock, is it worth me getting one still?

I've read a lot in the past 24 hours about this antenna problem, but for me, I would browse the phone right handed so I can't imagine it'd cause to much problem for me?

Temp me, as I really want to get one. :)

It did make me chuckle when I started reading about said issues; first thing that sprang to mind is that it all makes sense as to why Apple were so eager to flog those crappy looking bumpers!

Damn it, just phoned the store and the o2 stock was last updated at 16:00 and it's late night shopping today. Meh.
