*** The all new iPhone 4 thread - Keep all iPhone 4 stuff in here ***

May have already been discussed, but I uploaded a short video clip from the phone to YouTube and was a bit disappointed that it doesn't remain in HD and is 360p. I am also a bit surprised that it doesn't ask you who you want to share the video with, ie, public / private etc?

The only way I have been able to upload a 720p video was to extract it to my mac and then upload.

I tried that, direct upload from the phone and the quality was pants - When I checked, the video was 45Mb straight out of the phone so I'm not too surprised. I think that if you import it into iMovie on the phone then you can get a full quality upload.

Did you upload over 3G or Wifi? I'm thinking (hoping) that it will only send the 360p version over 3G but would send the 720p version over Wifi.

Isn't it a software problem between the upload process and youtube , where the phone isn't uploading in 720p, the only way to upload 720p is to first copy it onto a computer then upload it that way, Hopefully they will fix it in the next update.

I was on Wifi when I tried direct from within the camera roll.

I dont think the stock checker is accurate - it says that the hayes store has stock when infact it doesnt :( . . . .

Seeing as Apple's own store says three weeks for the black, I think everyone is going to be having stock issues for a while.

I'm giving up on the whole thing - trouble is I have no decent phone now, and I'm struggling to find anybody local to me selling a 3GS in decent nick. Aargh!!!

Nope. it is totally broken and has been since the second it went live. Its a crap idea anyway, a tick and a cross? Why not the actual stock level? That just shows how much faith they have in it.

I have rang around a dozen stores that showed as having stock on launch day and days since and every one was sold out.

A quick question...cant seem to find any 32gb's for love or money around here in London...anyhow if i ordered one from the apple online store...do they take the money straight away or do they take it when its shipped??.

Am thinking that i might as well order one, its around 3 weeks to ship and maybe by then the iphone4 will have been fixed etc.

Any ideas??...i guess if i did find one in and around the london area then i could just cancel the order right??

The money for my pre-order was only taken a day after I got the phone, so I'd assume they'd only take the money when they ship at least.

Thanks mate...guess ill take the plunge and order it...cant see myself getting hold of one before then really lol.

I'm not sure what I'm more shocked about, that they've been able to create that whole story off a single tweet from a fake Twitter account or that I'm shocked that the Daily Mail would do this in the first place.
