*** The all new iPhone 4 thread - Keep all iPhone 4 stuff in here ***

walked round several O2 stores in NI today, same answer regarding stock in everyone-'nope don't have any and don't know when we will have some'. walked into phones4u and again no stock, however the chap there took a £20 deposit and will phone me and email when they have stock in and reserve one for me. O2 take note-thats how customer service should work. wonder why O2 stores dont offer this??

To be fair, it's no more simple than when I done it years ago on a Samsung G500, over 3G, to a Nokia...
Well there is no requirement to install apps or configure settings on the iPhone; you just touch the screen during a call to enable it. Controls to flip between the front & back camera and mute available as well.

"You are receving a video call, accept?"

"Yes."

That's all I had to do :p I love the new iPhone, but it's video calling.

It's nothing new and it's just as limited as any other phone that's had it; just in different ways.

Have you got Belkin routers by any chance. I have at home and it is a nightmare. I never have any issues with any other router manufacturer and Belkin seem to update their firmwares as often as Jesus is seen on the high street.

My sister has a Belkin (a newish one with pretty blue lights n stuff) but my 3G 16 always connects whenever I go there.

Anyone know how to disable wap messages from o2? it keeps saying i need to topup even though i have, damn things coming through every 10 seconds. Only way i can stop it is to turn on airplane mode.

Tried turning off the email setting so it will only try and update when i tell it to but no luck.

Quick question regarding the apple direct order...i ordered a 32gb iphone4 a couple of days ago...but i had my cousin call me early this morning and say that shes picked up one from the apple st in brent cross west london and shes managed to reserve one for me as she has a mate who works there...anyhow as far as im aware apple dont take the money till they ship right??...so i cancelled the order soon as she told me and got my cancellation email...but it says on the bottom that it could take 5-7 days before the money is refunded if you use a debit card, which i did.

Is that right??.

My money never came off until I got my invoice which was a day or two after it was delivered.

Ok thanks...did you pay by debit or credit card??...just want to make sure because if they already authorised that amount then theres no point me going to the store to pick it up as it will be declined until they un-authorise the order...

Apple's refusal to hand out free bumpers just shows you how many iPhone 4's have this antenna issue. I assume they are concerned that every person who has bought one so far will request a free bumper if they start handing them out to the odd person here or there. Even if the bumper only costs them £5 to make that is a lot of money if all 1.7 million iPhone 4 owners request a free one!

Apple are being a right pain in the backside about this, I still hope they are developing a software fix.

They might not announce that to employees for various reasons, so there is still hope :p
