I dropped my 32g iPhone tonight at work, the very same floor the smashed my 3G. A complete act of fate, and it landed on someones foot, and only ended up dropping 2 inch or so :)

Lucky escape. My undies got a little chewed :>

I have a 16GB reserved at Phones4U, but they only keep getting 32GB in on O2, I really dont want to spend a extra £100 just so to get the phone now, and I need to stay on O2. May try ringing O2 today.
 
When are o2 gonna be accepting new customers?

Popped into the MetroCentre last night and spoke to a guy in CPW and he said that they had about 400 in stock (I assume he meant collectively in the stores in the region) but he couldn't sell me one as they were all on o2 and they are still only giving them to existing customers.

I was a little chewed to say the least.

Still, means I am still waiting for Tesco to get them which will save me some money.
 
Its o2, they are only selling them to existing customers due to limited stock. I think thats until the 24th july.
 
So the tarrif I went for was
£50 - 750mb - 1200ms Phone £129.
on the 9th month I can reduce it down to £45 - 750mb - 900ms
7th month £40 - 750mb - 600ms
then the rest £35 - 500mb - 300ms.
Total £909.00

That works out the same as the £35 a month £279 phone but I get more mins and data and pay out less for the phone at the begining and spread the cost.

Thats 11750mb over 18mths and 14400mins.
or
on just the £35 tarriff 9000mb over 18mths and 5400mins

The guy on the phone at o2 worked all that out, said he was doing the same. seems ok to me either that or he's dun me over.
 
Just an update from me. Ordered with orange on Wednesday, got it by courier Thursday morning. Very impressed by orange. I am a loyal cistomer so they gave me a good service.

Loving the phone so far. Camera is the big feature for me, plus the sharper screen. Now all I need are some really shiny apps. Not used to gps etc so very excited. This is my first iPhone so it's all new to me.

I'll just say it doesn't work with the dock so it's useless, playing the ignorant card.

I didn't destroy the packaging anyway, just removed the plastic but no rips or tears, it looks new if you hold the two bits together.
 
For those wanting to exchange their phones, got mine done today hassle free.

I'm hoping this will be problemo free.
 
My friend just told me that he has no signal problems when using his O2 sim on his Iphone but when he tried his PAYG Three sim the signal will drop.
 
Got a question. Maybe I'm being stupid but how do you get HD vid from the iPhone onto your PC? iTunes doesn't seem to have an option for it.

Also, does anyone know if the videos are stereo or in mono? I guess it's mono.
 
anyone finding that the multi tasking , session state store things are eating the battery when the phones off?

the bat was at around 70% last night this morning its down to 59% nearly a 10% drop on standby
 
If any is interested you can upload 720p vids on your iphone to youtube using a app called pixel pipe but the files has to be under 200MB.
 
Overnight, I get around a 10% drop in battery. Wifi and 3G are both on but all apps are closed.

EDIT: Wait did you say the phone is switched off??? That's odd, mines on all night and I get a 10% drop.

naww not fully off just locked and in stand by. i'm sure the old 2g one didn't suffer as much as this overnight.
 
I finally got mine today.

Quick question, I restored from my last 3G backup. I now don't have the battery % at the top, how can I get it back?

Not done it recently, but it used to be "Settings >> General >> Usage >> Battery Percentage >> ON"

It may be a slight variation of this now in iOS4, but hopefully this points you in the right direction! :p
