Well there's no disputing that (larger sensor) but the Desire camera is hardly bad and we already know the bitrates/fps can be improved by ROM developers so things improve as development progresses!
 
If I do that they will most likely find out it was me, since we got our own variant :p
But like you said, they probably have it anyways.

Not to sound ungrateful but that's a pathetically bad response time from HTC - they need to pull finger - you should tell someone... tell them I said so and that I am displeased.

I know I was just being facetious. I'm not 100% about how this stuff works but I had hoped that the transfer from 1.6 to Froyo was going to be somewhat less lengthy than the Hero update time. On the flip side this update is as much a maintenance of their flagship phone in Europe as it is a forward thinking toward newer Froyo based hardware - they do need to get it right.
