*** The Official HTC Desire (Bravo) Thread! ***

you just browse to the rom (under clockworkmod folder), click it and it'll ask you if you want to backup your current rom / wipe, choose your options and it'll then ask you if you want to reboot into recovery to flash it, that's all there is to it.

I figured it out just after posting Doh! I had to move the ROM file to the Root of my SD Card

Nick just stick the default ROM on and un-root the phone.

Thats no problems with warranty and then it's upto the buyer what he wants to do with it, if he wants to root or not

Just thought I'd drop this in here :p

Apparantely unrooting doesn't remove all traces of the root so your warranty is still invalid.

Is there a way to update my Sparta 1.2 ROM to 1.3 without starting fresh? So basically nothing is touched?

I have just made a FULL backup with ROM Manager just incase.

You can just update to 1.3 with no need to start fresh. Same as any standard ROM update.

Does Co-Pilot Live give voice instructions through the car speakers if the phone's bluetooth tethered? If it does do that, is it possible to stream music at the same time?

I use a headunit with A2DP and hands-free capability.

Yes flash update via ROM manager and choose to create backup.

It should work the same way any speaker output does, but I don't use this feature as I use the phone speaker and Google Nav.

Do you have your phone paired with your car ? Mine seems to refuse to output sound via the speaker if I'm paired over bluetooth. Can't turn off media pairing either.

Cheers Khaaan, working perfectly.

Anyone still use task managers?

I have just held the Home button down, to find apps are still running. I used to use Taskiller FULL, but stopped using since I started using the Sparta ROM.

Anyone recommend anything else?

Cheers

Guys, I've got Sparta 1.3 on that has apps2sd, and followed a guide to partition the SD card to use it, but how do I actually move an app to the SD card?

Or am I doing something wrong? thanks! :)

What Android 2.2 ROM is everyone using then? I've only tried ShadowFrost 1.4 but everything seems to be working great so far

It's paired yeah, and does play music just fine over Bluetooth-- I'm just concerned about using sat-nav at the same time, ie. music is playing, sat nav pauses music to give instruction, music continues.

Google Nav isn't really an option for me since I need something that has all the maps without requiring any constant data connection. Afaik Co-Pilot is the best option for that.
