Right, I've just spoken to Orange about the yellow screen blotch problem that I have.
What the woman said to do is return the handset and completely cancel the contract, and then order a new phone online from scratch!
She said there's no point going to Apple if its new as they give you a re-conditioned handset and not a new one. Is this true?
Other than that, the yellow band on the right hand side of the screen has gone, and the blotches have faded a little bit overnight.
So it might be worth waiting a day or two and see if it fixes itself
Well they can't have too many reconditioned iPhone 4 handsets yet. My friend took his iPhone 4 in to the Apple Store the day after launch, because he'd been given a demo unit, the loudspeaker was broken and he had the yellow tint issue. They just got one out of a brown box and swapped it straight away. So I'm sure they just have spares in store for cases like this.
Well, if call up Orange and cancel the contract, they will do that no problem.
Then I can just order one for delivery the next day online (so the stock must be fine).
Seems just as easy as a 2 hour round trip to the Apple store to get a perhaps not shiny new one

I'm still waiting for 3 to get their stock in
2 days ago they were expecting them in-store this week, today I called and they're expecting 2-3 weeks from now
But, I will hold out (not much choice), as they're certainly the cheapest for my particular needs. Apple really need to manufacture enough to meet demand next time around!
I had my upgrade call yesterday about my 'reserved' phone. Won't be delivered until the 27th so i'd expect it'll be a while before you get one from 3, still debating cancelling it myself.

I've just done that very thing. They STILL don't know when I'll get one, they're saying it's out of stock and has been since I ordered it
Mentioned your order and they said it can't be possible as they don't have any Anyway, that's been cancelled now, they're still going to ship it out to me and I have to refuse it before they'll cancel and refund it on their side

I dont think they have any idea what they are talking about with regards to stock most of the time.
From what I understood all different departments have different stock allocations so for example, the people on the phones only know about stock assigned to the telesales department, and vice versa.
They must have them in, you can STILL order them via the site right now, 16 & 32 versions.
Unless its all an automated system and they have no stock yet they have been saying they have for the last 2/3 days

He's gone off to investigate and said he'll give me a call back, but it's looking likely I may just get one in the end

LOL it does really seem that way. A lot of the people I've spoken to on the phone seem more like 'computer says no' than anything else.

Silly question and might of already been answered but this thread is MASSIVE now but I assume we are still looking at end july/start of Aug for the White 4's to be released?
